I wrote this song as an awnser to liverpool politicians when they were getting all sorts of money to regenarate liverpool back in 2008 when it became the capital of culture a local radio station asked songwrighters to wright a song to commemorate this and afer hearing what they were going to spend all this money on i thought i would give them a reminder of what liverpool is realy about and what they should spend this money on it was my way of telling them to look at the problems that bring liverpool down and to do something about it with this money that the were getting from the european union needless to say they would not play this song on the radio truth hurts sometimes.
