Goodbye 2020 Part 2

Dive into the dynamic world of Hasan Ghazi, a Toronto-based DJ and producer known for his compelling fusion of techno and house. As the founder of Reckoning Records, Hasan has established himself as a significant presence in the electronic music scene. His innovative approach has garnered attention from industry giants like Paul Van Dyk.

Hasan's journey in music traces back to his childhood, inspired by his father's piano playing. His early exposure to both Western and Eastern musical ideologies, especially during his travels between Canada and Pakistan, significantly influenced his sound. By his late teens and early 20s, Hasan was actively developing his unique style, collaborating with artists at the forefront of the Pakistani electronic music scene.

In 2014, Hasan's career took a pivotal turn when he ventured to China, spending six years DJing in top underground clubs like the Mansion & Downtown in Shanghai and Lantern in Beijing. His performances include notable appearances at the Yin Yang Music Festival on the Great Wall of China in 2018 and 2019.

Returning to Toronto in 2020, Hasan redefined his sound, leading to multiple Beatport hits and recognition from international radio stations. This period also saw the birth of his label, Reckoning Records, allowing him creative freedom and self-expression. 

Hasan's music is characterized by infectious grooves, hypnotic melodies, and compelling rhythms that continue to put a smile on the faces of his listeners worldwide.

As many talents Anthony caught the attention by his energetic moving twenty years ago. It is then no surprise that his musical message soon spread out to a growing public. One party after the other in his area resulted in an almost natural answer to this growing public by becoming a resident in the Liège famous club "La Chapelle" and to call his concept "Young Electronics" into existence. Name a well referenced club or party in Liège of the likes of City Parade, Ama-rock-festival, Festiv'Ans, Fresh open air electronic party, Phoenix, Soundstation, Factory, Diamex experience, Espace Roture, Elektrhum, Caves de Cornillon, l'Aéropostale, Tipi, Dock's Café, Cap Vert, Jamais 203, L'escalier, Md's Bar (Andenne-Namur), Jet-Set Club (Neufchateau-Luxemburg), Dance club (Ethe), N-joy (Arlon-Luxemburg), Afterweek (Marche), Station One (St-Vith-Maldingen), Forest Rave (St-Vith-Montenau), and he has been playing there as well in the Northern part of Belgium in Silo (Leuven), Les orgies electroniques (Genval), Ric's Boat (Brussels), Montini (St-Truiden), Underground (Heers), The Zoo (Hasselt),... His club of heart is for some years the Rockerill in Charleroi where he loves to play to name a few. He played at legendary french temple of Techno ; the REX CLUB and with international artists: Slam (U.K), Luke Slater (U.K), Leeroy Thornhill (Prodigy-U.K), Ben Long (U.K), Traxx (U.S.A), Alexander Kowalski (DE), D.j Cave (NOR), Scan X (FR), Charles Siegling (Technasia-FR), The Youngsters (FR), Tonio (F.R), Marco Gayo (F.R), Mark Netty (LUX), Chich (LUX),... But also among the best national: Marco Bailey, Psychogene, Zzino, Redhead, Stanny Franssen, Ortin Cam, Tom Hades,... 

His musical style is an electronic chemical formula composed of deep, melancholic, house, funky, Detroit and techno through waves of electro and tech-house built to a climax of acid, dark, hard groove and tribal. Passionated by the dance floor and driven by a burning desire to express this ambitious talent is someone to look out for as by upcoming productions. He will soon catch the eye of a much broader public...     

During the year 2018 he released in collaboration with his friend Aurelien Stireg a single, followed by a 3 tracks EP; (Detroit Energy) very appreciative of many Dj's around the world on the YUNA BEATS Records label. This year 2019 is again ambitious since AM STRAND comes out at the end of this month of an EP (DARK FALL) highly appreciated by Laurent Garnier himself.

Vinyles dealer & Laurent Garnier addict...

Bio musicale:

At first beaucoup d'influences sonores dès mon plus jeune age
Soul, Funk, Hip-Hop & Breakdance...mais aussi pas mal de New-Wave, d'Indus et de Rock.
Mais rien ne laissait présager la révolution musicale qui allait arrivé à l'aube de mes 15 ans !!!

Je me suis pris une grosse claque dans la gueule en 1986!!!
Zappant sur les ondes radiophonique je tomba sur un morceau qui allait bouleversé ma vie à tout jamais: "love can't turn around" de Farley Jackmaster Funk... 
Un son jamais entendu auparavant, un son qui semblait venir d'une autre planète, une autre dimension!!!
Une semaine plus tard j'allais à la fnac du coin à la quète de ce précieux vinyle et là je mis la main sur ce fameux skeud sorti sur le label Dj International rec.
La suite s'enchainera très vite: 1ère compile sorti sur ce mème label: "The House Music Of Chicago"...
Et l'onde de choc continuera: "jack your body" de Steve Silk Hurley; "move your body" de Marshall Jefferson; "mystery of love" de Fingers Inc.; "shadows of your love" de J M Silk; etc...etc
A l'époque pas d'internet et les médias passaient sous silence ce qu'ils considéraient déjà comme un simple effet de mode, donc trouvé des vinyles relevait d'un vrai parcours du combattant. Parcours du combattant qui allait vite se revèler ètre une véritable passion...
Aujourd'hui encore mon passe temps favori est de trainer des journées entières dans les shops de skeuds à m'en foutre pleins les oreilles et fouiller encore et encore à la recherche des vinyles qui manqueraient à ma collection!!!
