Nucleation is a concept album telling the story of a self-inflicted global conflagration, exploring themes of survival, loss, and transcendence with a sardonic sense of humor. Anthrocene teamed up with Aaron Smith (Jeff Loomis, 7 Horns 7 Eyes, Ghost Ship Octavius) for mixing and mastering and Caspian Priebe to create a lyrical comic book that accompanies the musical experience.

Anthrocene was formed in 2014 when Jesse Mazur (Guitar), Danny Tormoen (Guitar), and Matt Ward (Drums) needed an outlet for their bent up rage of being stuck behind a  computer terminal at their day jobs. Shortly after inception, Keith Wyss (Bass), found he too was meant for more than staring at a monitor and joined up giving a deep bass sound with doom and progressive influences. Finally, we found we needed a strong vocalist with a diverse range, and a steady supply of whiskey, so Bo Sagal, decided to spend time away from distilling spirits to fill out our sound.

We're anxious to start sharing what we've created with Seattle and are in the process of looking for other bands to play with for local shows.
