Anthrocene was formed in 2014 when Jesse Mazur (Guitar), Danny Tormoen (Guitar), and Matt Ward (Drums) needed an outlet for their bent up rage of being stuck behind a  computer terminal at their day jobs. Shortly after inception, Keith Wyss (Bass), found he too was meant for more than staring at a monitor and joined up giving a deep bass sound with doom and progressive influences. Finally, we found we needed a strong vocalist with a diverse range, and a steady supply of whiskey, so Bo Sagal, decided to spend time away from distilling spirits to fill out our sound.

We're anxious to start sharing what we've created with Seattle and are in the process of looking for other bands to play with for local shows.

SICKAMORE is an energetic, hard hitting band from Seattle who have released albums, singles & been featured on soundtracks since 2008.

As the group has toured many miles, they take pride in connecting with their audience while delivering their brand of rock & roll at a maximum impact. The inception of Sickamore was orchestrated by bassist Evan Stegman; who auditioned and hired guitarist Marcus Saxon. Fueled by a kinship of similar musical influences of classic metal, rock and post-punk aggression with high quality productions, it attracted vocalist Billy Young (who studied extensively under Maestro David Kyle); as Young’s charismatic style brings the group to a new level of musicianship and live performance.

Wearing their musical hearts on their sleeve, the reception to the music shows a likeminded affinity for the listener. Lyrically, a spectrum that connects with the audience; with subjects such as angst of broken relationships, the dangers of compulsions, life triumphs, succumbing to regret and loneliness & tales of psychological myriads. 

Although the group is happy with their local Seattle reception and reputation, they are eager to send their music out to the rest of the planet on terrestrial airwaves. Stay tuned.
