Drift EP

"Rumble Number Five" is a collection of six intense and dynamic techno tracks, meticulously crafted using my modular synthesizers and drum machines. With tempi between 130 and 145 beats per minute, these tracks combine raw, analogue sound design with rumbling, saturated kick drums, driving percussion loops, and short, hypnotic synth voices.
Focusing on powerful, intricate sound design, each track brings a unique, immersive listening experience while maintaining the relentless pulse of classic techno.

1. 666 - a straight-forward rumbling techno exercise on which a gliding, two-note synth line and texturized noises are setting the tone for what is to come, alternatingly topped by stuttering snares and a sliced amen break (i don't do them often!)

2. Euclidean Speed Bumps: a straight techno cut featuring a short, gliding bassline which is slowly being displaced by a reverberant pad sound, while constantly backed by euclidean synth patterns for rhythmic variation.

3. Groove: a deep, clean techno loop showcasing gritty synth hits playing around with a background pad, occasionally topped by driving percussion elements. 

4. High As A Goose: a rather straight techno cut with a sharp, reverberant kick drum accompanying a short, echoing synth patch gliding between two notes as a lush pad sound emerges from and fades back into the horizon.

5. Rumble Number 5: With its relatively fast 143 bpm, the title lending track is - as the name suggests - a classic "rumble" techno bassline with features a back-and-forth moving synth note which is progressively tumbling in short echo taps, surrounded by severely echoing low pass gate plucks.

6: Scurrilis: another fast, textured techno groove with classic 909 percussions surrounded by a classic, tiding 8-step synth sequence.

Rumble Number 5

"Guppy 420" is the second collection of unreleased tracks I am sharing with you by the end of 2024. These tracks have been created in the fall and winter of 2023 and ever since been rotting on my harddisk as I went on working on other tracks.

Antilophobia is something of a "Hidden Gem" among Berlin techno producers. He's certainly the most discreet of them, crafting vegetarian meals in his food truck by day and donning his producer's hat by night. Initially appearing on Chez.Kito.Kat Records in 2018 with a 100% ambient album, he's since absorbed the local flavor for a dark, cyclical groove techno on his last two EPs. The "Color Shape" EP, like its predecessor, was produced 100% on modular and hardware in a single take. There are no touch-ups; the sound is raw and unrefined, and it describes the beauty of the moment.
