Behind Noise Ladder, there is Nicolas Lafay, a sound artist and electronic designer working and living in Vilna. 
He studied fine Art in the Art school of Grenoble (Fr) and has runned  since 10 years many music projects from experimental music to breakcore/hardcore. In 2012 he started to developp his own electronic instruments and currently performing with a home made modular synthesizer.
The project Noise Ladder created in 2015 explores the field of the noise music through performances and record which confront body and technology.

Nicolas divides his time in making noise, teaching video to the kids, reading philosophy and studying Torah.

Johan van Kreij (1969) improvises and composes music. In 1994 he started his studies at Sonology, in the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, graduating in 1998. Frequently he performs his music, solo or with other musicians.

Anti set is an audio visual art project created 5 years ago by Nicolas Lafay and  3 years ago joined by Andrėja Šaltyte.

Nicolas is a french sound artist and electronic designer.After his studies in fine art school of Grenoble he took part in different experimental music projects like Electrosmog as far as the hardcore/breakcore scene in quality of  event organiser and performer.

He created the project Anti set as audio visual show combining unconventional dancing music and video performance.

After many years of creating music with ccomputer, 2 years ago Nicolas  started  to develop his own synthesizer and sound effetcs. 
With these new tools, his music changed the way and metamorphosed in  noisy sound landscape influented by tangerine dream as far as Japan harsh noise.

Anti set's shows create a psychedelic sound travel disturbed by noise/glitch waves and explosions.

Andreja is an artist from Lithuania. After she studied painting in Vilnius academie, she was getting interest to video art. Since 3 years she  create for Anti set a video performance combining video sample from movie and her own footage. She now add some diapositive projection and other light effect.

Think of the sound of NIM as the host of angels in Gustave Dore’s illustrations for Dante’s Paradise – radiant and terrifying at once, spinning in a whirlpool of celestial light. This is electronic music that far transcends its material origin and becomes an ethereal entity that belongs to no particular time. Its points of attraction are equally 21st century and Renaissance, science and mysticism, neoclassical and experimental, purity and imperfection, impenetrable depth and unbearable lightness, cosmic harmony and chthonic dissonance. These references define NIM, but not completely, as there is always room for something that escapes words.
