Daniel Osthues, DJ & creator of the radio show Addicted-2-Bass discovered his passion for rough Detroit Techno/Electro at the age of 14.

From that moment on, intense digging sessions in nearby Underground Record shops became a weekly ritual.

The passion for new music while at the same time watching his favourite DJs spin records with incredible skill soon led to the goal to be in the same position one day.

Gaining the necessary skillset over the years, he soon found himself spinning at DJ contests and being invited to local Underground music stations as a guest DJ.

Drawing upon an expansive record collection, his sets nowadays span from classic early 90’s Cybotron informed Electro to some rare gems from the hard-hitting Berlin, Detroit & The Hague scene.

Besides having played at Golzheim, Düsseldorf, and Open Source Radio (NL) Daniel is a co-founder of District.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Parand. "Bloc" comes off the new v/a release forthcoming on Co-Accused records. The label return sfor their second release of 2024 with a hand picked V/A sharing sounds from some of the label’s favourite electro and techno producers. Underground legends and fearsome up-and-comers come on board to the Glasgow based label with Luke’s Anger, SOD-90, Steve Allman, Mal_Hombre and Parand delivering tracks. CR006 VA is selected for the dancefloor, tried and tested in Co-Accused's own DJ sets. Today we bring this big B2 from Parand.

PREMIERE: Parand - Bloc [CR006]

Andreas, who ventured into DJing back in 1995, started his musical journey crafting mix tapes and spinning drum and bass in Philadelphia's underground rave scene. Currently based in San Francisco, Andreas combines his love for music with his studies in computer science. Operating under the alias Tygre (@djtygre), he immersed himself in the darker realms of electro, techno, and drum and bass from 1997 to 2000. After a prolonged hiatus, Tygre, inspired by the hypnotic sounds of electro, techno, and drum and bass, is back to spread his passion for music, the art of mixing, and the creation of mesmerizing sonic journeys.
