DeLaney A. Yancey formerly known as (Troy Fayola & DScholar) is an emcee, educator and entrepreneur. She is the founder of Culture Catalog; an emerging independent music publishing collective for creatives. At a young age, she began to grow a liking to Hip Hop, Soul, Country, R&B and other genres of music. Growing up in a household that was musically inclined, she grew interest in listening to conscious Hip Hop; particularly Chicago rap music. Troy was introduced to rapping after watching her mother and brother rap poetry. At the age of 5, her mother organized a Citywide festival where Troy along with her siblings had the opportunity to perform in front of hundreds of people. From there, they began to play instruments, read and write music as early as age 7. Her family later moved to St. Louis, MO, where they continued to grow a bigger passion for music as band members in school. Living in different cities throughout the Midwest helped her become culturally eclectic with different sounds of music. She credits many conscious and soulful artists such as Kanye West, Tupac Shakur, Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, Master P, Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, Stevie Wonder and many others. 

DELANEY is known for captivating & inspiring her listeners with her profound lyricism, and positive impact and mentor ship in the community.
