Steve Cook - Notice Me EP

After a killer remix for FLXXX's 'Zombie Land' on WS013, Steve Cook is back on Wonder Stories with his own EP. The lead track 'Notice Me' is a drugged-out mid-tempo burner with tribal drums and cut up diva vocals. Accompanying ‘Notice Me’ is a pair of remixes, one from Toronto-based producer Pop District, and another from Wonder Stories label head Aimes. Rounding out the EP is another Steve Cook original ‘Drifted’ which is eager to offer up the dark and brooding side of Steve’s productions.

Andrew Meecham the synth master behind @TheEmperorMachine gets ready to drop his follow up EP Vol 2, a two part series entitled 2500 on vinyl and digital courtesy of  @PrinsThomas's Internasjonal label.

As to be expected, a super selection of tracks with a tasty remix from the brilliant Wolf Muller.  The first track on the EP U.M.O. standing out for us though, a track which builds and builds into a high energy frenzy of synths and beats... and one we can't wait to hear ripping up dance floors.

It’s that time again… Every summer Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant imprint celebrates another ground-breaking year with a far-reaching collection.

Ranging from palpitating ambience to chuggernaut technoid trips; the stirring 16 track set features late night creations from old friends (Red Axes, Zombies In Miami, Mike Simonetti, Moscoman) new friends (Simple Symmetry, Perel, Julian Stetter, ) and friends that have been Correspondant kindred spirits since day one, but have never had the opportunity to cast their magic on the label… Until now (Black Merlin, The Golden Filter, MR TC, Yula Kasp & Mi.ro).

As always, the vibe is deep, smoldering, emotive, innovative and unapologetically cosmic as we’re pushed headfirst into Correspondant’s boundary-less soundscape. From the coiled spring funk of Javi Redondo’s ‘Fictional Friendship’ to the hypnotic harmonics and trippy vocal textures of Uriah Klapter’s ‘Breeze’ via the slinky arpeggiated charm of Marvin & Guy’s ‘Cowboy Disco’, it’s another sublime excursion from one of the most consistent and considered imprints on the left side of techno.

The Golden Filter - M112

Coming out of hibernation, Throne of Blood returns to the dancefloor with three off-kilter originals from Liudas Lazauskas aka Roe Deers. Rounding out this latest digital only offering are three scorching remixes, each leaning into different elements of the title cut, “Hide and Seek.”

After an epic 2018 that saw a string of releases and remixes on Omnidisc, Ombra, Nein, Rotten City, Sulk Magic and many more, the Vilnius, Lithuania based Roe Deers has established a distinctive sound that’s hypnotically trippy but shot through with an almost goth darkness.

On remix duties we’ve recruited the secretive Vyvyan who made his debut last year remixing erstwhile TOB contributor Paul Woolford for Man Power’s Me Me Me.
Pin Up Club! (Phantasm, Bordello A Parigi) fuse “Hide And Seek” with some dubbed out keys and subbass rumble. The final refix from label manager Max Pask and his studiomate, DFA’s Juan Maclean scour the track down to its barest elements with a storming acid groove.

It's New York 88, Jason is feeling good about his debut record and the fame has gone to his head. He spends those cocaine nights recording in an even more advanced studio, banging out esoteric hits for an audience that simply wasn't ready.

Norwegian producer Fjordfunk delivers his first solo album on his Alo imprint this September entitled ‘Infinite Zest’. Jann Marius Dahle aka Fjordfunk is a producer from Norway who’s been releasing records since 1998 on labels such as Trailer Park, MBF and Prins Thomas’ Tamburin imprint. In 2000 he partnered up with K.Y.D. and formed the group K.Y.D. & Kango going on to work with labels Slip´N´Slide, Estereo, Ascension, Defender, Henya and Beatservice in addition to performing live at seminal clubs such as Panorama Bar, Fabric and Week-end. In 2008 Jann started his Luna Flicks imprint with Strangefruit releasing music from artists such as Ost & Kjex, Skatebård, Hardway Bros and himself picking up support from the likes of DJ Harvey, Andrew Weatherall, Bjorn Torske, Bill Brewster, Todd Terje, Jennifer Cardini and many more. After almost fifteen years living in Oslo and Berlin he moved back to his native town of Harstad and started working on his ‘Infinite Zest’ album inspired by an array of musical styles and experiences that helped shape the story.
‘Baboobap’ then delivers spaced-out modulations, piercing grooves and meditative elements.
