None more raw live performance from the infamous Berlin basement, Sameheads. All music was written specially for this performance and will not be performed again. Arrangements and rhythms were improvised on the night. Mistakes were made. There is some digital clipping towards the end. I tried my best to master it as best I could.

So, I almost know nothing about this track and it was done for fun. I didn't see Dominion Tank Police when I was younger, though I had a bunch of other Manga VHS tapes, but I tended to stray away from the series ones. 

I'm at a friend's editing studio and he has a bunch of VHS tapes including this one, that was the first time I heard the theme song: "Banger" I thought.

I searched and searched, found out it was by someone called Brown Eyes and was about 1 minute 42 seconds long. So I edited for yr halloween party, or whatever. I don't have a paid account so there's only 100 downloads so you should probably grab it now and put it on SLSK.

Yeah? Cool. Word.

I agreed to the idea because I thought it would be fun, but somehow forgot that Goblin are unbelievably fine musicians and are a jazz/prog group and it would actually require some work to pull this off.

luckily, years ago I played in a band called Il Goblini, so I kind of knew all the guitar parts. But then I decided to go for the deep cuts, this is most likely the only one you'll know if you're a casual fan, but if like me your world has been 100% improved by what I often refer to as "THE GREATEST BAND EARTH EVER PRODUCED" you'll dig the ones from Patrick, Il Fantastico Viaggio Del Bagarozzo Mark and Contamination.

Maybe the mix is a little rough, but maybe you'll dig it. If you're in Berlin, see you there...

This song is old, it's not old like it's from the 70s, but it's still pretty old. I wrote it in Berlin in 2011/2012. I sent it to a ton of labels and they all passed on it. Then I gave it to Hollywood for this movie called Hangman. Since then people have been writing to me endlessly about it. I figured the attention would die down but it hasn't people are ripping the audio from the movie and then someone put it on youtube. It's cool. I'm really happy you all like it. But here is the mastered version, mastered by Brassica. It'll be on 7" and Digital soon.

Antoni Maiovvi - Driftmusic Live (In Leipzig)

Here's a lesson buddy,
I started working on this as soon as I built my studio in The Hague, I was in the mood for writing songs again after the instrumental album 'Driftmusic'. I recorded the vocals almost a year ago with Aux Tha Masterfader in Amsterdam, then spent a year sending it to labels, most of which either didn't reply or passed on it. I actually had one particular label in mind and I thought they would like it but I never heard from them. One label was interested but I felt weird about the deal and decided to shelve it. Then I sent it to some friends and they said that I shouldn't. But seeing as Maiovvi has become one thing, and this is a bit different I thought, fuck it, I'll just put it out under another name and Jason Priest it was. Jason Priest was a name that came to me while I was showering and it caused me to giggle. He sounded like the perfect Synthwave idiot. So yeah I finished a whole album of this stuff and I'm working on the 2nd. I don't know what will happen but maybe it will turn out ok this time. I'm also ok if it doesn't, I guess. Enjoy.

So in trve Maiovvi fashion after releasing an LP of oversaturated occult electro bangers on Bunker Records I decided to make an Italo mix, cause even though you fashion pricks have abandoned it in favour of whatever it is you "love" now, I still think Italo is great AND it's summer time so you can go get yourself an iced cream and then go do a ton of disco dust in a portable toilet and dance the night away before drowning youself in a lake of Club Mate and bad luck... Or walk around in the rain like I'm preparing to do, dreaming of being on a beach somewhere and not being so god damn broke.

Have fun or don't but I'll be there with a grin cause I got that magickal power to laugh alone...
