Our first release of the year belongs to an artist who needs no introduction. After one year since his last original mix was released, Andrea Cassino returns in 2019, making his debut on Auditen Music, with a new fresh EP called Rumore I Silenzio.

"Andrea’s ability to craft free flowing, evocative musical journeys is second to none. How he
incorporates emotion in subtle yet impassioned ways is perhaps what makes him such a unique
producer. The lead track ‘Rumore’ displays that perfectly with its tough, rolling groove and sleek,
rhythmic narrative. Deep, pulsating and full of intricate detail, the first act builds with a veteran’s
refinement. Developing in waves, subtle shades and tones fill in the framework for what is a
wondrously heady vibe as the main break commences. Moving through modular acts, it’s acid
like hooks raise an air of unpredictability, before atmospheric trails and sheets of white noise
unite for a ghostly peak and classy drop.

The companion piece ‘Silenzio’ follows suit with an equally impressive display of rhythmic flow.
Andrea’s fluid sound works amazingly well in this subversive context and also sits as a great
complement to ‘Rumore’. Immaculately contoured bass tones power the foundation while gentle
chord stabs, organic percussion and frayed atmospherics fill in the framework. Clocking in at
nine minutes, it’s a serene break that shifts the mood into emotive territory, with redolent pads
and buzzing synths saturating your senses, before giving way to an electric finale. In a year that
promises to be the best on record for Andrea he has certainly gotten it underway in auspicious
fashion, with two productions that will not only satisfy the most discerning progressive house
aficionado but also stand the test of time incredibly well."

Why do we tell stories? 

We breathe, we eat, we sleep. We seek connection. These are our basic human needs. 

But there is one more need we all share, and it centres on stories. All across the world, stories are being recounted everywhere, in every imaginable way, at any given time. For telling stories is at the very essence of what it is to be human. 

The universe of stories can be broken down into seven basic plots which underlie all stories ever told. Recognising these patterns is the gateway to unravelling the universal symbolic language from which all storytelling is spun. 

With 'Rebirth', Chapter 24 returns with seven stories in sound collected from artists all across the world to bring these themes to life, the seventh and final iteration in this compilation series.

South African star Bruce Loko (Get Physical, Freerange) opens proceedings with the deep, melodious textures of Cyclone, whipping up the ethereal eye of the storm. Chapter 24 regular Kieran Apter is next, making good the tension with the impactful 6.10.21 Break. Such is the power of this track that it propels the listener into new sonic dimensions.

Kostakis (Get Physical, Katermukke) offers up Xerxes, which is equally big and conjures up the dusty, mysterious and impenetrable planes of the desert. Meanwhile, Acumen returns to the imprint in collaboration with Pontias. Shower for Hours is a pumping, techy number bound to get the dancefloor bouncing before opening out into a euphoric peak.

The compilation closes out with a high quality trio. Label favourite KatrinKa delivers the typically deep groove of ABAF. DJ Zombi (Beat Boutique) takes things further down into a dreamy and blissful space with Steph. The honour of closing out the final Seven Stories befalls Hope Recordings and Soundgarden legend Nick Warren and the talented Nicolas Rada, who revisit Anton Dhouran's Valhalla Rising. Their Edition is fittingly deep, transportative and dramatic. 

They say that there are only seven basic plots but a thousand different stories. 

And so, as the storyteller utters that age old, magical phrase "Once upon a time...", let yourself be carried away one final time...

Music beckoned this Sri Lankan from a very young age. Being captivated by the unique variations, styles and emotions that lived at the heart of every genre, many days in his teens, he would find himself listening to movie scores, lost in their stories, yearning to tell his own.

Here’s that story so far:
Fuelled by his life-long passion for the art of music, fresh out of high school, Dimuth was on a musical quest. Dimuth was completely enthralled with the newly discovered electronic music universe, and found himself using every sparse moment exploring the ins and outs of different electronic music genres to find the sound that characterized himself, which ultimately paved the way for his career as an electronic music DJ.

Very soon he soon found himself transfixing crowds with his Groovy, Progressive House sets and was quick to gain popularity on the decks with his energetic and versatile performances across the island at many clubs, festivals and parties, setting the stage for the likes of Roger Martinez, Khen, UNER, and playing alongside heavyweights such as Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Jeremey Olander, Cid Inc., Fehrplay, Third Son and Alex Kenji among many others.

In the meantime, behind the scenes Dimuth was setting the foundation for what would be the game changer of his career. Carefully crafting his own unique blend of emotionally uplifting Trance, Progressive House, and Tech grooves, it was only a matter of time before he started getting noticed by colossal record labels such as Hope Recordings, Balkan Connection, Movement Recordings, Particles and more. Was also featured on Max Graham’s ‘Cycles 8’, released on Black Hole Recordings and recognized as Sri Lanka’s Best DJ/Producer at the Yes Home-Grown Awards 2017.

With massive support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Cid Inc, Markus Schulz, Gai Barone, John 00 Fleming, Marcelo Vasami to name a few, Dimuth’s music has been captivating listeners all around the world at the biggest festivals from Woodstock Bloemendaal (Netherlands), Warung (Brazil), CODA (Canada), Loveland (Amsterdam), Sziget (Hungary), to numerous other international clubs and has reached Beatport’s Top 100 Progressive House Charts many a time.

Outside of the studio, Dimuth has been working towards growing the Sri Lankan Electronic Music industry as a co-founder of ‘THE BLUEPRINT.’ - launched with the aim of bringing electronic music enthusiasts together and building a platform for young and upcoming talent in Sri Lanka. You are sure to keep hearing whispers of this upcoming prodigy in arenas around the world in the time to come. And so, the story continues...

Isis & Mozes joined forces in 2017. The release 'Raining From My Eyes' is a collaboration with Indian singer Sandhya Sanjana and sarangi player Vincent Swierstra. The track stands out for it's melodic and slightly melancholic signature and has an intense and touching vibe. Raining From My Eyes is known as one of the 'grand finale' tracks of Isis & Mozes during their live shows.
