Y. Dan Rubinstein is a singer-songwriter whose music touches on universal themes of love, the realm of possibilities, our relationships in the modern age as well as socially important issues. A musician who hails from the tech industry, his songs evoke the meaningful lyrics of artists such as Leonard Cohen, Paul Simon, and Sting with music that fuses folk, jazz and rock.

Dan draws inspiration from both common and unusual experiences and enjoys writing music by request as well. He plays guitar, piano and dabbles with music production.

Dan has performed on televised competitions at West Coast Songwriters (Palo Alto), Song School’s opening night at the Rock Mountain Folk Festival and welcomes collaborations with like minded artists. 

Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Dan lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
