This mix is something I've been wanting to do for a very long time: A meditative and contemplative ambient journey. Something that allows me to access deeper parts of my being, and helps get into the "flow" state. I assembled 5 hours worth of my favorite ambient electronica, and tested it 4-5 times in full before deciding it was ready for release into the world.

Spanning from 1969 (Terry Riley - A Rainbow in Curved Air) to Present, there's some quite special musical moments in here. I hope you enjoy it to spending time with a loved one, going about your day, going for a long drive or just about anything else your heart desires. My wish is for this mix to inspire moments of deep stillness, while revealing our true nature to ourselves.

We are proud to showcase today another Far Blue concept special to us: Mia Kober’s ‘A Thousand Lives’.

Let Mia guide you through here reflective process of mixing together eclectic parts of her recent journey.

A tale woven by a tender heart riding the ebbs and flows of a warm and humid summers night. 

A meander through the multifaceted complexion of human nature and the multitudes of feelings felt in a single day. 
For each day is a lifetime of its own.
Summed up by the wise words of Mr Curly from Curly Flat; 

“Each day is a life time. 
In the morning we are born. 
the day lies before us vast and bright and new. We say “Good Morning !” as a prayer and blessing 
as a good morning may bring a good day and a good life. 
By lunchtime we have come to mid-life. 
We take a hearty meal and rest. we are in the midst of the days demands 
and we are doing our plain duty in attending to them. 
This is how we find out the truth about ourselves and the truth about the world. 
what a thing to find out ! But we have to.
The evening is calm. We sup and reflect. 
We ready ourselves for the end and prepare for the hereafter, for the next day. 
Abut of tidying, a little reparation, some shared peace and pleasure and then a prayer on the pillow. 
An how hoots
’it was a good life’ we say. 
A cricket Sings,
The lamp fades and its all over”

A Far Blue concept by Mia Kober - 'A Thousand Lives'

This month we welcome Ada from our hometown Hamburg to our mix series. Ada already captured our hearts over 20 years ago with her house anthems on Areal Records. Since then she released an album and a single on Pampa. 

Pingipung's very own Andi Otto is part of the Alien Orchestra that supports Ada during her recent shows. You can catch them live on the 12th October in the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg. Ada and Andi also DJ together on the 6th July at Jupiter, also in Hamburg.

Pingipung Podcast 166: Ada - Hit the ground

Welcome to the eight episode of Dyplytt.

The eight episode is called "Into The Woods" and the title is inspired by the ancient and mythological stories around going into the woods to become mature and basically a grown man (or woman!) for your tribe. As the winter season is closing up on us I can always relate to this feeling about going inwards in to yourself and reflect in order to become more human for whats to come. This way makes it very similar to the old stories, and that is also something I personally have felt as an artist after starting this mix-series. It has given me a bigger foundation to rely on in this tough industry of art and craftmanship.

In the mix I tried to keep it very soft and cozy, but still having a dynamic journey through different genres. I hope and think this one hour of music can be a perfect fit for you who is going into winter hibernation, with a warm blanket, a warm cup of something and a proper fire in your fireplace.

‘This mixtape is inspired by the reflection of what place do we hold in the universe, capturing the sense of self and purpose while feeling adrift, a state of curiosity as well as surrender. Ableton Live’s Meld is a fascinating journey into sound exploration. So far, I’ve only scratched the surface, but it’s clear there’s so much more to uncover. Meld really encourages experimentation—tweaking, trying things out, and seeing what happens. My first approach was a bit cautious, but I’m definitely planning to dive in much deeper later on.
