this is one of the most interesting tunes ever made on the C64, its has the double speed notes on the slow repeat of the lead. really an awesome piece of tune work!

this is the place where you have to really blow up the volume. the SID pressure reaches max and this tune blow the lid of the SIDDANCERS!!!!!

the double speed arps really do the work in this last part again!

Love the chord / arp variations throughout the song. Brilliant!

This remake took a couple of tries to get right. The original XM competed in the multichannel compo at The Party 1995. It ended up in 16:th place which I felt pretty good about, given that the mix was absolute mooseshit.

Plenty of things ended up on the shop floor for this one. The original drums were all room and no slap. The guitar sample I stole from Zodiak (Hej, Erik!) had to be axed, as did the obscure wah wah guitar sample I forgot the source of. Most significantly, though, that pretty psyched sax solo had to go, as it was nicked from some The Roots live bootleg, so I decided to hand the reins over to the keyboards for this one. When in doubt, always bet on a hardsync solo.

The part at 3:11 is actually a decent enough ending, but I really didn't feel like wrapping it up. Three-minute songs honestly feel too short these days, so I threw in a return of the main motif with this meandering kinda "just play what you want, this is the fadeout anyway" part that was just fantastic to make. Always loved a good jam.

Round 3 entry of S3XMODIT Mania 3. Probably the one I'm most proud of :) Lil' bit of editing was done to this one. The drums still sound like a trash can being thrown down some stairs but ah well.

Is it possible to write a song that isn't really in a key? I dunno how well this actually worked, but it sure was fun to try. I wanted to keep the melody easy and approachable, but keep the harmonies shifting and sliding. The solo part is in "fake 7/8," meaning it's actually in 4/4 which sounds weird and spooky.
