Ewake - Live @ Son Libre 2022 - Saturday 9.30 to 11 pm -  Mystic Garden Stage

DJ Basilisk charts a course to the outer reaches of space and sound with ESOTERIC EXPANSE 6, the sixth in an ambitious series of mixes devoted to sonic world-building and cross-genre experimentation. This epic journey spans more than 4 hours and features 62 tracks ranging from the abyssal depths of ambient to high octane psychedelic trance. Abstract and glitchy IDM set the mood, evolving into cybernetic electro and modular techno as the pace quickens, eventually breaking through to mind-melting darkpsy and the eerie gloom of forest music. Engines reverse after reaching a peak at 155 BPM, beginning a tumultuous descent through bewitching twilight, energetic full-on, and new school Goa trance, finally grounding out with wispy traces of tech house and dub techno, experimental bass music, and ice-cold ambient.

PSYDEWISE is In Focus with us this time with a live set focusing on his latest projects, a much more refined production, as he says, compared to his earlier material. Born in Cape Town, South Africa during the late 80s, Psydewise was fortunate enough to grow up with a wide selection of alternative music introduced to him by his weird and wonderful parents. He was introduced to psychedelic trance by his aunt, who used to make mini discs with all the latest vinyl at the time, like Infinity Project, Hallucinogen, GMS, Infected Mushroom, Grapes of Wrath, Cosma, Atomic Pulse, Antix and Artefact were just a few that really rewired and inspired him! After moving to the UK and meeting people who were using Ableton Live, was the first time he used the program and was hooked. He taught himself most of what he knows today but it would never have been possible without the incredible collective knowledge of out beautiful psychedelic trance community!

He released his debut compilation ‘Mydrasis’ through Stone Seed, injecting style and concept into the fibres of his home label, which was met with great international recognition. Having concluded his first European tour in 2023 including some notable events such as Modem Festival (Croatia), Masters of Puppets (Czech) and the iconic Hammahalle at Sisyphos Club (Berlin), 2024 officially marks the next chapter of his career further expanding into the international realm. On The Way To Ozora 2024 is also SOME1, a new project by Anton Maiko, better known for his alias Mindwave. In this project, Anton decided to expand his musical journey by experimenting and creating something different and fresh. The combination of deep fat bass, his well-known signature atmospheric sound, and the ability to create a story in each track, is what makes SOME1 a cutting-edge Psychedelic Trance project. His first release as SOME1 – Dragonfly EP, was released in 2019 on Iono Music and received immediate attention across the world. After a few more releases, the debut album “Delicate Vibration” was released on Iono Music in 2020. The album hit waves and SOME1 became one of the most interesting acts in the Psytrance scene.
