ANYCAST is an in house electronic music podcast series that isn’t defined by  only one genere or style but rather includes various DJ’s from many different backgrounds and scenes.

@joe-dellenbach also known as Klebe is a long time Friend of ours, which we had the pleasure to play and party with quite a few times over the years. We’ve always been amazed by the diversity of this guy's music, so we were sure he was the perfect fit for ANYCASTE 003.

For this weeks ANYCAST monsieur @frenchwork cooked up something really special for us. He served us with a deliciouse one and a half hour set containing House, Minimal and even some Jazz tunes.

This week with our dear Friend from Luzern @kusaren-buholzer, which has been playing for well over a decade now and definitely knows he's way around the decks . So it didn't come as a surprise when he gifted us with a fire one hour house set.

Following hot on the heels of Jimpster’s first single Crave from his
Silent Stars LP, we hit you with a second installment loaded with the good stuff!  With the LP just about to drop, and already garnering much love from DJ’s and critics alike it’s already clear that Jimpster’s 7th LP is going to ensure he keeps his reputation as one of the most consistent
electronic artists in the UK.  As a DJ he also boasts a good ear for emerging talent and here he hands over the reigns to two hotly tipped
producers to rework his originals.

First up we have the incredible Peggy Gou who takes on The Sun Comes Up. Her speedy rise through the ranks over the past 12 months has been down to just a handful of brilliant EP’s on Rekids and Phonica and her skills as a club DJ.  The Berlin based Korean sits somewhere between Detroit, London and Berlin in sound and her DJ sets are an assured, kinetic combination of dark, pulsing house and techno, broken beats and abstract compositions. Her influences shine through on her remix which goes deep and musical whilst retaining an energetic drive for the dancefloor.

Perhaps the most mesmerizing, floor-focused track from the LP is up next; Silent Stars.  An electronic tribal dance which builds to a speaker-
wobbling sub-bass breakdown and wonderful chord section at the climax.

Next, a remix from West Coast native Urulu who came to Jimpster’s
attention through his releases on Let’s Play House, Dirt Crew and his own Amadeus label.   Trying to describe his remix of Where You Are isn’t an easy task, fusing elements of techno, broken beat and afro house, but check it out and if you can think of a suitable new sub genre to
pigeonhole it with, let us know.

Closing the release we have the slow-burning, balearic-tinged beauty known as The Sun Comes Up featuring Jinadu on vocals.  This is one to drop in the warm after-glow of a crazy night under the stars when tired legs and happy hearts crave a soulful groove to give them one last lift.

Pont Neuf Podcast 022 | Tour Maubourg

Veteran NYC producer and DFA regular @the-juan-maclean hops on the RNT wagon for a rolling EP of drum-machine driven grooves for the Reserve sub-imprint. The record starts with the peak-time stomper Fine Time, building exquisite tension and release through looped and filtered samples, and then moves on to the boogie-infused swing of Don’t Stop For Nothing. Everybody Clap leads off side B with a soulful and string-laden vocal over a bouncing hi-hat-focused house arrangement, and the EP closes out on the dubbier tip with the eponymous Panic In Fort Greene Park, a synthy and smooth slow burner. All around beautifully produced and eminently playable, Señor MacLean has made himself a most welcome addition to the Razor-N-Tape family with this dynamic EP.

Salin Records welcomes https://soundcloud.com/tour-maubourg to the label, a match we dreamed of since we heard his first EP on his home label “Pont Neuf” back in 2017.

The Paris based producer and DJ is an outstanding talent in creating emotions. It is probably exactly that what makes him one of the most promising artists of the Parisian house scene according to Trax Magazine. Through the last year, he was very keen on building up a studio in Paris. His enthusiasm for studio gear leads to a new level of production skills. “Interlude” and “Duophonie (Jazz Mix)” are two perfect examples for the symbiosis of sampling, synthesis and sound design. These two tracks fascinated us with their richness of detail and liveliness, and so we decided to build a whole EP around these beautiful tracks.

https://soundcloud.com/christophesalin makes his remix debut with his reinterpretation of “Interlude”. After the release of his “You Took My Love EP” in spring 2019 he took the time to rebuild his studio and work on new ways to create sounds and textures. Remixing for one of his most appreciated artists of the current house scene is, without a doubt, the perfect time to release the sound he was working on during the last months.

Daria Salin’s painting speaks louder than any word and reflects the structures and details of Tour-Maubourg’s music.

We’re sure that “Tour-Maubourg - Duophonie EP” will stay in your heart and case for a long time. Maybe you should think about getting it twice; one for your wall and one to play it out ;-) Thank you so much for your support <3

Following he release of Toshio Matsuura 2014 Blue Note Project "HEX", French-Japanese record label MENACE, run by producer and DJ Midori (Menace), comes back with another installment, this time focusing on the sessions of "Hello To The Wind", a Joe Chamber ballad issued on the first album, featuring folk vocalist Grey Reverend (Bonobo, Cinematic Orchestra). In addition to the two unreleased takes - the instrumental "Z Groove", and the ambiant "Starry Version" - Matsuura-san and Mido invites Paris-based producer Hugo LX to rework the song, giving birth to a bass and piano driven electronic "Purple Version », and a aerial, jazzy-house "Turquoise Version" starring Kansas City trumpeter Hermon Mehari.
