A vibrant flip on his last track ‘Spleen’ on Eskimo earlier this summer (a 105BPM alt-pop Kraftwerk homage), here we find Amarcord in much more uplifted, energetic yet still contemplative mood. Sitting somewhere between new romantic and synth wave, Amarcord creates the perfect bed for E.S.O’s heartfelt vocals as we creep closer and closer to sunrise.

Remix-wise Greek darksmith Echonomist twists the light to create great shadows amid E.S.O’s vocals before Amarcord lays down two more floor-focused originals. ‘Ritrovare Un Tempo’ makes time for everyone with its ploughman bassline and humanised vocals while Titoli Di Coda cashes in our last credits with smouldering, downtempo cosmic finale… Just in time for the sunrise. Madd Rod’s new ‘Rumors’ EP follows hot off the back of the recent release ‘Frequent Flyer’ and marks his first release on Discotexas. The first taste of the new EP will be the title track which will precede the EP on Friday, October 15th. Madd Rod's vision of music comes from his early-developed curiosity, which has made the artist explore different soundscapes while finding his musical identity. For him, music is much more than an assembling of sounds: it is a constant reminder of the experiences he has lived through it.

Rodrigo (Madd Rod) was born in Lisbon and raised in its outskirts, being inevitably influenced by this intriguing melting pot. His music reflects this mess, mixing a fresh technological sound design with traditional elements from ancient cultures. His first studio album 'Dystopian Desert' was released on Inner Shah on July 31st, 2020, and since then, Madd Rod released several EPs, singles, and remixes, alone and in collaboration with other artists, across labels in the likes of Harabe, Tanzgemeinschaft, RYNTH, Androgyne Audio, Kitchen Recordings, among others and as he sets his sights on conquering the world with an impressive list of upcoming releases.

The next of those is ‘Rumors’, offering up two vibrant productions. Landing initially as a single ‘Rumors’ eases you into rich vintage synth wells and a hybrid blend of eastern influences top lines and throbbing bass line as the foundation. Brief vocal samples echo before the marching electronic returns.
‘Hindrances’ dropping two weeks later, on October 26th with the EP release, completes the EP, and sees Madd Rod maintain the pulsating bass yet with a more energetic feel to it, rounding off what will be an incredible return as he finally finds another home, this time on Discotexas, cementing a working relationship that is set to endure long into the future.

Physicist turned Producer, @pyrame emergence into the electronic music scene is a story of wanderlust, dream catching and cosmic energy. A poet at heart, he takes the opportunity to create raw emotion through both his melodies and lyrics, when if you listen closely, are inspired by his endless adventures of the world around him.
Combining elements of synth-pop, post-disco and progressive electronica, his DJ affair of building both his sound and his label contains a touch of surrealism, heritage and fantasy, as his inspiration is pulled from the twists and turns of Greek Mythology. His label, appropriately named Thisbe Recordings (www.thisberecordings.com), comes from the myth of “Pyramus and Thisbe” which are most well known as the couple of ill-fated lovers by the ancient poet Ovid.

Being influenced heavily by new wave, metal and grunge growing up, his evolving taste and wanderlust saw him later inspired by the likes of LDC Soundsystem. Connected to both classical and electronic music throughout the years, and having dabbled in bands from a young age, Pyrame felt it was finally the time to put his passion for music first.

Releasing his debut EP “A Fine Life” in June 2019 on HIFI/LOFI Records, Pyrame has already matured in his sound so much. Releasing his first EP as a
synth-/electro-/cosmic-pop package, his second EP, "The Pace of Everything That Lives" provides a darker and more electro tone to his music, drifting into a more techno universe too.
