Darren Bayton is an international DJ and an Electronic Dance Music Producer currently working under the alias known as dB9 Project & DJ Pink Bomb. Darren has been involved in the music industry since 1993 and was one of the former founders of the successful Trance duo 'Pink Bomb' back in the late 90's, signed to Global Underground / Quad Communications. 

Mixes duties include Ferry Corsten aka Moonman - ‘Don’t Be Afraid’, Parks & Wilson aka Tilt - on Perfecto Records. Compilations include Indica (Original Mix) Mixed by Judge Jules + Boy George - The Ibiza Annual, Armin van Buuren - 002 Basic Instinct, DJ Tiësto - Global Clubbing: The Netherlands ‎

In February 2000, Darren came first place on the Dave Pearce Dance Anthems first ever producer competition, to work with Rui da Silva.

Following that success, he co-founded 'The Rhythm Purists' from 2004 to 2008 and went on to sign to Nine Records in Chicago with the track ‘Outta My Life’ - Feat. Carrie

Darren has also worked as a music technology and business lecturer and recently gained a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Music Technology. Winning 2 awards, Caparo Prize for the Highest grades in the University, and for the Best Music Composition Award.

Darren is the founder and director of Digital Insomnia Music Group, which consists of Digital Insomnia Recordings, Digital Insomnia Groove. He has also run and managed and promoted various nightclub events.

In 2011, Darren was selected out of 100’s of entries to part in the British Student DJ Championships in Ibiza, held at the famous Ibiza Rocks Hotel & Kayna Beach Bar
