Girl Buddha (born Emily Elizabeth Annis, April 26, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Emily was born in Augusta, Georgia. She began playing guitar and writing music at the age of twelve, and later began experimenting with other instruments, such as piano, accordion and mandolin. Emily has a BA in Creative Writing from Columbia College of Fine & Performing Arts in Chicago, Illinois. She takes most of her inspiration from metaphysics, Buddhism, spirituality, astronomy and the unexplained.
