🌞 💓 🌞 💓 Hello my dear friends 🌞 💓 🌞 💓

An imaginary sundown session and feel-good sound this week for the Sunset Lovers is coming from UK based DJ/Producer/Remixer Pete Herbert. Pete's name is synonymous with the world of Balearic disco, where he's been a prolific player in the scene over the last two decades since he set up and co-ran the infamous Atlas Records Shop in Soho in the early 90’s.

He has played his unique blend of disco, balearic and house in clubs all over the world, and provided the soundtrack to sunsets and Music for Swimming Pools, a style he has been pushing in his long-running radio show and new record label on the same name.

Based in London, Pete has held residencies and played guest spots at many of the seminal dance institutions in that time such as Fabric, Ministry Of Sound, 333, The Blue Note, Sancho Panza at Notting Hill Carnival….He currently holds a bi-monthly residency at La Dame Noir Club in Marseille, and also plays regularly during the summer months at some of the greatest festivals such as Mareh festival, Lovebox, Festival No.6, Corona Sunsets, Masked Ball, Love International Campo Sancho in the UK and many more.

Going further afield, Pete has kept his schedule busy traveling extensively around the globe. Taking in numerous tours of the US, Mexico, and South America, Asia, China, Japan, South Korea, and Australia, as well as returning regularly to spots like Madrid, Paris, Moscow, Berlin…

Also in the last 10 years, Pete spends time during the winter months based in Bali, where he holds a few residencies and has been working on new music projects. He also plays regularly in nearby spots like Jakarta, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore.

Over the last decade Pete has forged a close alliance with Dicky Trisco, head honcho at Disco Deviance and their infamous DJ sets, playing back to back and all night along, regularly set dancefloors alight around the globe. When not DJing Pete can be found in the studio working on various music projects. As a solo artist, Pete has released on countless labels including La Dame Noir, Mareh, Retrofit, Tirk as well as notching up over 200 remixes for artists including Röyksopp, Roots Manuva, Danielle Baldelli, Ilija Rudman, The Glimmers, Bottin, Faze Action, and Tensnake.

Reverso 68 and Frontera are the studio-based projects of Pete and Phil Mison aka Cantoma. They’ve released singles on Eskimo Recordings and Is it Balearic? as well as over 30 remixes for the likes of Grace Jones, Badly Drawn Boy, Bent, Who Made Who, Tosca, Templehof, Bawrut, and The Two Mamarrachos.

Pirahnaheads legendary Inner Turmoil gets a play and eventually we land in afro - boogie - disco land , work out for a moment and come back to mother earth. Enjoy the ride!
