I got back from this year’s epic episode of Mareh with my heart full and my mind inspired as usual. It was another magnificent gathering of pure love and community with so many friends all gathering together to celebrate life, love, music and dancing.

The first day I got back in the studio, and still with the Mareh life force pumping in my blood, I did this DJ mix. It includes only tracks I played in my sets on the magical Mareh boat party and at the Bar da Praia on 1st day of the New Year.

It is my love letter to this coisa boa which has transformed me as a person and my life.

It’s called Nossa because WE ARE MAREH. 



Can’t wait to be back on the Mareh Carnaval boat soon with you mess amores.

Kraak & Smaak (Dutch: [ˌkraːk ɛn ˈsmaːk]) is a musical production trio from the town of Leiden, Netherlands, consisting of Oscar de Jong, Mark Kneppers and Wim Plug. The three began recording in 2003. Their first album, titled Boogie Angst, was released in the UK 2006, and they began performing at music festivals and at clubs in the US and UK. Their songs were played on the radio and were used in television shows. Their second album, released in 2008, was titled Plastic People. They won an EBBA. Their third album, Electric Hustle, was released in 2011.

I remember a whole bunch of early Kraak & Smaak 12"s, Squeeze Me with Ben Westbeech, Funk Ass Rotator and then the iconic Henrik Schwarz remix of No Sun In The Sky that would also massively stick it's head out on the K7 Henrik Schwarz Live! compilation album. A really cool moment in time. 

Later Wim Plug invited LYMA and myself to release two 12" on their label Boogie Angst , namely Games Change and No Time and the collaboration helped solidifying LYMA and my relationship and was a great experience altogether.

Happy to welcome these legendary artists to the series.

The sun is finally shining so here’s a 90 minute chugger mix kicking off with The Beast, from the movie soundtrack Sicario, then into Random House Projects excellent edit of Massive Attacks, Teardrop.  The set builds from 80bpm to 108bpm and includes edits of Elton John, Duran Duran, Talk Talk, Bananarama, to name a few, and includes tracks from some of my favourite DJ’s/Producers such as; Idjut Boys, Random House Project (massive thanks to Gez Dewar for the tunes), Tom Tom Club, Ghosts of Venice, My Friend Dario, Ed Mahon, North of the Island.
