This is a "Extended Redo Remix" version of "Crockett's Theme" by Jan Hammer, which was written, recorded and produced by Jan Hammer. It was recorded in 1984 and released in 1987 on the album Miami Vice II. It also appeared on Jan Hammer's 1987 album Escape from Television.

Resolvi fazer esse Tributo ao Vangelis, o Tecladista Grego de nome Evángelos Odysséas Papathanassíou, que passou a ser conhecido pelo mundo como Vangelis. Ficou conhecido com seu trabalho pela Banda de Rock Progressivo Grega, chamada Aphrodite’s Child. Suas músicas são de uma beleza que toca a sensibilidade das pessoas. A Faixa que é mais conhecida pelo seu público que o admira, é a trilha sonora do filme Blade Runner. A música no entanto que ficou mais famosa e conhecida, é a tema do Filme Carruagem de Fogo, mas eu não coloquei ela no Setmix, entretanto não é só de Filme que o Vangelis foi conhecido, os álbuns Spiral, Heaven and Hell e Albedo 0.39 são de uma competência.

Resolvi então fazer o setmix, que geralmente é de 1:30, o que me fez pensar em não só colocar músicas dele, mas de outros artistas similares a qual eu amo escutar também. É algo Transcendental, uma viagem, é algo cósmico que me faz pensar no Espaço Sideral, que toca minha alma, e me deixa muito sensível e pensativo, uma verdadeira viagem.

Blood on the Eternal Frost is a synth-driven odyssey inspired by Robert E. Howard’s The Frost Giant’s Daughter. Drifting bass drones and shimmering chimes paint Nordheim’s frozen wastes, where Conan chases Atali. Pulsing basslines and haunting bell motifs drive the pursuit, erupting into a bombastic battle with gritty synths and a Miami Vice-esque solo. Wistful chimes fade, echoing loss. This is the first single from the upcoming Sagas from a Mythic Age album.  It’s perfect for Tangerine Dream fans.

Rumors surround the band’s inception. Some claim they met at an obscure art collective, while others suggest they formed during a chance encounter at an abandoned cathedral. What’s certain is their uncanny ability to create music that feels timeless and otherworldly.

The Solarno music project from Jim Furey explores ideas of science, technology, and history through the medium of electronic music and digital production to achieve his vision of “creating aural beauty one byte at a time.”

Fusing the simplistic nature of early 8-bit music, today’s powerhouse digital synth wonders, and a background in classical and jazz performance, Solarno, a Los Angeles based producer, conjures up the joy of danceable electronica with the depth and richness of a Hollywood movie score.  Every song by Solarno has a story behind it, and the goal is to create an experience and atmosphere of exploration, not just of the music itself, but also the inspiration behind it. 

Solarno started like so many with a Commodore-64 in 1986 in the sleepy Los Angeles suburb of Simi Valley.  He spent countless hours writing both original pieces and covers in an attempt to replicate the songs he loved as a teenager.  Genesis, Pet Shop Boys, Michael Jackson, and many others all received the 8-bit treatment during the late 80’s.  The early 90’s saw Solarno further expand his style as he incorporated the disparate influences of the Madchester sound of England, the techno styles of Detroit, and the rave scene of Los Angeles.  By this time Solarno was fully engulfed in the computer as a musical instrument and samples and emulated synths were his axes of choice.  The 2000’s were a time of refinement for what would become the signature Solarno sound, that of simple, accessible electronic melodies over alternating dance hooks and rich cinematic textures.  Orbital, The Shamen, and Kraftwerk all rank high on the list of influences that went into the development of his style.  

Fall 2008 saw Solarno’s first commercial release Remotely Programmed Moonshot, an album influenced by the US/Soviet space race of the 1960’s.

Fall 2010 saw the release of Robot Junkyard, and experiment in simplicity where Solarno limited himself to just one synth for the entire album.  This was followed in the summer of 2011 with the bombastic Robot Junkyard - Derivative, and dance inspired re-imagining of Robot Junkyard where the gloves were removed and anything went.  The results are a varied tapestry of sound with each track a powerful reinterpretation of the original.

Currently Solarno is working on a multi release project that explores the nature, science, and history of color.  The first two EPs, Kyanos and Rauthaz were released in October 2011 and February 2012 respectively.

I was born in the late 60's, but only in the late 70's I got to absorb the disco era. I was a listener, but always with a keen sense. It was where everything began, a passion for eletronic music.

In the 80's, these most intensely lived, and for me one of the best. I absorbed a generation of true musicians, which adds even more knowledge and feeling.

Nowadays, with all knowledge that I have gotten, I look intensely all the songs of the past. I really miss those times and I do not deny. After all, having this feeling is a spiritual universe, where we bring with us in our lives, everything good that we got. It is our story on a journey throughout time, going back, reviving às if it were the first time, remembering, inventing everything again making the "now" become Alive as in the pas, becoming a source of life.

Music is a cycle that goes back and forth. As I mentioned, I miss those times, but I did not stop in time, I enjoy the pasta and the present. I think I do define myself as an only style. I always say I like music and with the keen sense I have, I listen to the songs and if I believe they sound good to my ears, that's what I will believe. House is the base. However, in my sets there might be a tech house, a techno, or rather any Söns that may please my ears.

Nowadays, I live intensely researching everything from the past until the current days.

Nasci no final de 60's, logo, fui absorver a era DISCO já no final de 70's, era ouvinte, mas sempre com um feeling aguçado. Foi onde tudo começou a paixão pela Música Eletrônica.

Nos anos 80's, esses mais vividos intensamente, e para eu um dos melhores, absorvi uma geração de verdadeiros musicistas, o que veio acrescentar ainda mais o conhecimento e o feeling.

Hoje, com todo conhecimento que absorvi, busco intensamente todas as músicas do passado, sou sim, verdadeiro SAUDOSO, e não me nego ser saudoso, afinal a saudade é um universo espiritual, onde trazemos conosco em nossas vidas tudo de bom que absorvemos, é a nossa história em uma viagem pelo tempo, indo atraz, revivendo como se fosse a primeira vez, lembrando, recordando, podendo inventar tudo novamente, fazendo com que, o agora, torne vivo como no passado, tonando-me fonte de vida.

A música é um ciclo, vai e volta. Como falei acima, sou saudoso, porém, não parei no tempo, curto o passado e o presente. Acho que não me defino por um estilo somente, gosto sempre de falar que gosto de música, e com o feeling aguçado que tenho, ouço as músicas, e se eu acreditar, soar bem aos meus ouvidos, é o que acreditarei. A House é a base, entretanto, em meus sets, pode ter um Tech House um Techno....ou melhor qualquer música que agradar aos meus ouvidos.
