As detailed in his interview with German publication Froh Froh, “the interview with Narciss was different. Colorful Hawaiian shirt instead of matt black, nicotine chewing gum instead of butt. In terms of content between kitsch, cutie, but also serious - no intrusive promo.”

This freshness truly comes across in his latest EP for Lobster Theremin. Dear Diary - releasing on June 4th - is an emotionally charged journey through smoked-filled rooms and packed-out corridors; lasers, strobes and wide eyes. As much a throwback to the golden era of trance as it is an ode to the producers techno aesthetic, it encapsulates an energy release - an escape from the grimness of the mundane, the fear of contemporary society left at the door as we venture further front left.

‘Ludmilla’ gets things started; a cut of tranced-out, progressive techno that builds and builds, emotional vocal stabs (“I need you”) further enhancing the connection between body and mind, listener and selector. ‘Tall People’ follows a similar route - deeper into the trance revival that has seen artists like Bliss Inc, New Members and Marlon Hoffstad producing some timelessly similar euphoria - it’s scenic techno, if the scene was an anime figure racing across a field on horseback.

The steady 4x4 rhythms are replaced on ‘It Gets Easier’; fast-paced sentiment that floats somewhere between breaks and garage, wrapped up in that signature trancey texture, before 'Blicke' featuring Ikki Mel shows us the door with a completely different take on the previous three moods; this time offering up an altogether harder showcasing of the rave sound with its classic synth stabs and uncompromising kicks.

San Diego based DJ and producer - Noni proceeds releases on Misplaced Recordings and his debut release on Paradiso Records back in 2019 with another rich collection of atmospheric club tracks.

Thick, interweaving melodies rebound of reverberated vocals which work to layer up a heady brew - all suffused with propulsive, low-fi grooves that sit them squarely on the dance-floor - just in time for our return to 'normality'.

@eckk_ also weighs in with a stripped, techy remix that casts images of late night / early sunset parties and rounds off a nicely varied and highly functional set of club tracks.

Visionary DJ, producer and label owner Dance System has reworked the latest single by Irish rising producer Chaya.

See U (Dance System's XR2 Remix) manipulates and mangles the original’s vocals and combines them with a faster garage beat and plenty of Dance System’s quintessential energy, resulting in a track altogether more hyperactive than the original production.

Made when the two of them met in Lisbon, See U was produced by Chaya and Boys Noize. It was co-written with fellow Dubliner James Vincent McMorrow. The pair capture the experience of a relationship which is ending, as they meander through feelings of loss and reflect on memories, before asking through a yearning refrain: “when will I see you again?”. An experience further expressed through Chaya's contemplative piano chords that compliment the skipping beat - a combination very reminiscent of the classic UKG sound - but with a fresh new perspective.

Prolific Colombian producer Felipe Gordon returns to RNT to deliver his first offering in a 2wo-EP and album project series. The records kicks off with the swingy Strings of the Afterlife, evoking classic Chez-N-Trent vibes and moves to the sultry emotive tones of The Fall of A Withered Empire. On the flip, Felipe takes us into high gear with the hypnotic looped synth groove and relentless beats of Clásico, and lets us down easy with the jazzy lilt of Julia y Luis. A truly standout EP, even for Felipe who delivers quality time and time again.
