Gorganus (Omar Robinson) is an Signed independent hip‑hop artist born on November 30, 1977, on the Caribbean island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis . Raised in a musical family—his father was a celebrated calypso singer and drummer—he grew up immersed in island rhythms and storytelling traditions  .

Omar began making waves in music as a member of St. Kitts’ pioneering rap collective X‑Bass Clan, later known as Sound Core. His early stage name was O.M.J. (Omar Mac Juice), given by fellow artist K.L.K., and the group performed at local and regional events—including a rap contest in St. Martin where they placed second, judged in part by Chuck D of Public Enemy fame  .

He paused his musical journey for several years but reignited his career under the mentorship of producer E_B_A, rebranding himself as Gorganus. E_B_A played a key role in reviving his passion and helping him refine his voice, both technically and artistically  .
