Another song from the William Winter Quantock tune book! This is one of two quicksteps i played with a group of people as part of the Faustus weekend at Halsway Manor last year. what fun we had!

New Royal Quickstep

A beautiful tune written by Peter 'Puma' Hedlund. Nyckelharpa is a Swedish instrument with 16 strings (4 bowed strings and 12 sympathetic strings), that dates back to the 14th century. Iste Kornbodsmarsch (Iste Granary March) was written as a procession song for the village of Iste, Sweden. A fascinating story accompanies this tune, but i'll be damned if i can remember it!

Wonderful Swedish folk song I learnt from the playing of Jan Johansson. Jan was a renowned jazz pianist who brought quite a few folk songs to the music scene during his lifetime. I'd highly recommend listening to anything by Jan!

Brilliant track I first learnt from the playing of Mikael Nolervik on youtube, later listened to Leif Petterssons version and took from that too! Both fantastic players, give them a listen!

Rallarpolka Från Västmanland

Very lovely tune from Sweden again! Title means "Caroleans march". Carolean was the name of Swedish soldiers, and karoliner was the nick name given to the soldiers of king Karl XI and XII. History lesson too!

A lovely tune from the playings of Paul Hutchinson, the accordionist in the folk duo Belshazzer's Feast! Taken me bloody ages to learn this tune, but i'm happy enough with it to record it now!

An untitled track (ish) from an untitled band I'm in! Me and a friend from high school have started a band, and this is a recording of what we *hope* to make more of! There are mistakes, as this was all improvised. I'm playing mandolin, and Ryan is playing guitar with an ebow. I used a looper pedal to get the bass sounding bit through out the song though!
