Over the last few years Luigi Tozzi has been calmly making a name for himself as one of Europe’s go-to DJs for his distinct brand of techno that draws both from ambient music as well as from the club.
Raised in Rome, the DJ and Producer takes influence from the timeless italian sound, which he’s further developed with an emotional, swirling, dubby atmosphere. There’s an unmistakable texture to his productions.

While prolific, Tozzi has kept his output within a close family of labels. Swedish label Hypnus are key here, having released a number of the producer’s EPs as well as his acclaimed debut album, Deep Blue: Volume 2, in 2016. Alongside Hypnus, Tozzi has worked closely with Mental Modern and Outis Music, releasing both solo as well as collaborative work with the label’s founder, Dino Sabatini.   

 Tozzi’s unswerving commitment to his sound, alongside his pensive and considered development as an artist has brought him to where he is today, with a touring schedule that’s taken him to some of the finest clubbing establishments around the world. Within this, he maintains a residency at Khidi, Tbilisi, which in recent years has emerged as one of the best clubbing destinations in Europe. It’s through this platform that he brings his unique hybrid sound as both a DJ and producer, and can evolve and experiment as an artist.

Floating removes you from the outside world and gives your mind the freedom to wander wherever it wants to go. You have a space where you can lie down, removed from the pressure of thinking, discussing, or participating in anything at all. It’s an environment that exists almost completely opposite our current plugged-in, sensory-driven way of life. Flourishing and regaining back all the dark/bright, warmth/cold, emotive/cheerful, ambiguous and mysterious sensations that has now all but vanished leaving abandoned souls. 

Dycide is a producer / DJ, professional sound designer and visual artist from Munich / Germany. Back in 2014, he established the Dycide pseudonym in order to release mainly minimalistic deep drum and bass. However, he slowly started changing more and more to techno oriented music and, along the way, he and his close friends established @iorecs, an audiovisual label, focusing on experimental ambient and deep techno and atmospheric artwork. Besides these projects David is working as an interactive sound designer and audio software developer.

It’s August 2021 and this time the podcast series is back with yet another rising artist from South-America. The Argentinian Vanoni, who now resides in Buenos Aires, serves up a truly smashing mix for us. 

Originally from Patagonia, Vanoni was able to kickstart his passion for music production and DJ-ing in full devotion from the year 2018 onwards. His productions are mostly affected by hypnotic and abstract sounds, usually induced by sonically rich harmonies and an extraordinary sense of cosmic drama. It’s fair to say that Vanoni’s latest recordings and releases, characterized by enveloping textures, tribalistic sounds and reverberating pads, deserve to be put right in the spotlight. 

Impressively, Vanoni managed to release his work on labels like Danza Nativa, Ritualism, From A Lost Place, and N F E R E E to name a few. Besides, he has put together various other first-class podcasts for labels such as The Memoir. With the recording you’re about to listen, he clearly follows up on this quality. Ryogo Yamamori has been involved in techno since the late 90’s. Ryogo’s « Journey » was released from his label “951beat” and 40th with Resident Advisor and featured from DJ Mag, XLR8R, BBC RADIO1, Orb, Monument, After having collaborated in Detroit Movement's official compilation, he has received offers from Ovum, Secession, Human Lessons, Epione Records, Katharsis, Ovunqve, Machine to just name a few. The versatility and maturity of his sound and the breadth of his knowledge are clearly displayed in his discography, from feverish tracks like "Arcade" or "Eclipse" to deeper cuts like "Lowdown" or "Fall from Grace". His acclaimed debut album "Time Foundation" on Luke Slater's Mote Evolver was followed up by multiple successful releases on labels such as Tresor Imprint and FUSE imprint among others. A regular at venues like Berghain, DeSchool or Fabric, Psyk has been around the globe sharing his unique blend of techno with the world. The attention to detail and craftsmanship he displays in his own productions has earned him well-deserved praise by industry heavyweights time and time again, be it on his own label Non-Series or elsewhere.
