On Board is proud to present its newest project, ’The Meaning of Time’ - a 23-track compilation exploring the rift and alteration in time perception global health crisis that’s crippled all sides of our societies has engaged amongst artists and creators. The dedicated goal of this charity V/A is both to document this very special time in our lives and serve as a means of solidarity when most of us out there are struggling to make a living. Content wise, and true to the essence of our vision as a label, the music mainly spans the techno and ambient spectrums, with original content. 50% of the benefits from the sales will go to the involved artists, whilst the remaining 50% will be donated to Sea-Watch - a German NGO that rescues migrants in the Mediterranean, notably by commissioning rescue ships.

C12 is a multidisciplinary nightclub and platform run by the Deep in House collective, located in the heart of Brussels. It's a safe place where freedom, diversity, creativity and alternative culture are protected from the restrictive and normative outside world. The project was launched in February 2018 and includes concerts, art installations, lives, club nights and exhibitions.

The Corona crisis is keeping our doors closed and dancefloor empty for several weeks now, with no hopes yet on new line-ups and crowds of enthusiastic dancers. But this unprecedented situation isn’t holding us still. Continuing to support our local Brussels and Belgian electronic music scene, C12 is proud to announce its own label with 10 music compilations dubbed Social Distancing. All artists involved are Belgian or strongly connected to the Brussels scene. Confirmed are Le Motel, Stellar OM Source, A.Brehme, Front De Cadeaux, Davy, OCB Casa Voyager, Cabasa, Techno Thriller, Orphan Swords, Different Fountains, Bear Bones Lay Low, Gols, Hadone, ... and our residents Session 4000, Kafim & Chris Ferreira. Compilations will also be curated by female artists promoting platform ‘Psst Mlle’ and queer culture collective ‘Benediction’.

Each edition consists of a collection of several tracks and will be released every two weeks, leading to a total of approximately fifty tracks. All music will be available to add on your favorite streaming service Soundcloud, Youtube, Spotify and Bandcamp. In addition for each track we offer a limited amount of 500 free downloads through our Bandcamp page, where donations are also enabled for those who wish to support us and the artists involved.

Noelia Rodríguez - Nono - is one of the most important musical curators in spain.
From the DelicaListen platform, of which she is also a director, she has curated concerts and audiovisual projects for events such as MUTEK or L.E.V. In addition, she has also programmed the DNIT cycle at the Caixa Forum in Barcelona bringing artists such as Ben Frost, Tim Hecker or Andy Stott. To all this we must add her work as a vinyl collector, from the age of 8, and a selector, going through this last facet, among others, the almighty Burning Man in 2006.

CALMA is a platform dedicated to less conventional electronic music with an horizontal vocation. The group consists of F-on, Vrika, Diskoan and Josephine from a_mal_gam_a, and they are working from Madrid, Spain, since 2019.

Our hands (ears) are incredibly sensitive to (musical) texture. Even with your eyes closed, you can easily tell (.)apart fine from bass coarse sandpaper sounds, slick silk trebles from soft melodic cotton layers, noisy planed wood from smooth plastic sound waves.
Our brain allows us to experience this rich world of musical textures and may offer a superior auditory stimulus as it is believed to involve key areas supporting consciousness and help therapeutically body and soul. Each musical texture sends a different kind of Morse code to the brain that is reflected in a very complex neural representation. The variety of different adjectives you can use to describe musical textures just highlights that it’s a rich sensory space. So, it makes sense that you need to have a rich neural space in the brain to feel and interpret that too. Breathe in, breathe out.

As if it was a science fiction movie, our brain gives wings to THE imagination. It is like entering a futuristic but abandoned machinery fabric in the middle of nature EARTH, far away from the suffocating concrete jungle. Suddenly, after going through all the corridors and observing all kind of weird machines and its sounds, a long distance powerful lfo sound from a noisy machine is getting closer and closer until it cools down smoothly. It HAS been a brilliant experimental dron intro with perfect melodic saturation. Once outdoors, breathing the flora and fauna MUSIC, I’m ready to explore the surroundings FOR a little while (excellent textures and good sound design). THOSE percussion grooves melting with imponent noisy bass dark sounds, give way to the night. Full moon and no light at all (wonderful gloomy soundscapes accompanied with interesting well processed field recordings footsteps). I can hear someone, WHO is talking to me? Hey, LISTEN! Definitely ‘The Earth Hath Music For Those Who Listen’.
