Segue is Jordan Sauer from Vancouver, Canada. His music consists of layers of textures and tones from acoustic sources (guitar, piano, violin, harmonium, melodica, percussion, childrens toys etc), field recordings and electronic sources. About Segue[Canada]:

Segue is the musical project of Jordan Sauer, started in 2006 in Vancouver, Canada.

Jordan's background in music includes years of classical violin and acoustic guitar. These years of practice and experimentation were formative, instilling a desire to pursue his own productions and craft his own sound using modern technology. The sound of Segue aims to capture the serenity and beauty of the West Coast of Canada. Layers of warm, ambient sounds build up with dub-inspired rhythms, percussion and melodies. Rather than the sparse, cold atmospheres of many dub-techno productions, Segue's music paints a more optimistic, reflective chord. Each composition is created by mixing together acoustic instruments, field records and synthesizers, resulting in new but inviting sonic landscapes and vistas to explore.
Since the early 2000s Segue has released eight solo albums with labels like Silent Season, Avantroots, Dronarivm and Serein, as well as many collaborations, remixes and mixes for a variety of artists and platforms around the world. SPACE VIEWX [#47] Segue[Canada|Vancouver,Dub Techno]

@segueambient is the name used by Jordan Sauer, an electronic music producer from Vancouver, BC. He creates ambient and dub-techno music with layers of field recordings, acoustic and electronic sounds, creating sonic soundscapes that conjure images of nature and emotions of peace and introspection. He has released numerous solo albums and collaborations with artists from around the world, including three LPs on the Silent Season record label. A high point of his career was the 2013 release of the dub-techno album Pacifica and the following performance at Mutek the following year, captured here in this live recording. In 2020, Jordan was commissioned by Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre to produce Gene Machines - an album based on field recordings and atmospheric sounds from one of the most advanced genetic research labs in Canada.

Presented as part of STREAM ON, a project by MUTEK, with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
