This week is a touch of magic from local selector, record collector and tastemaker Cass Lamb. This mix highlights Cass’ ability to negotiate tricky mixes by blending unlikely genres and moods. The London native is a big fan of keeping his sets broad, and can be found contrasting house, techno, disco, acid, breaks, UK Garage, and any other curveballs he can get his hands on.

Now calling Newcastle his home, Cass studied journalism at University and continues to cover a broad range of music topics for various collectives. Cementing himself in the North East’s underground circuit for about 6 years now and releasing music on independent record label Kaneda Records, we are happy to showcase this talented young artist.

His list of achievements would burnish any CV: a doctorate in mathematics under one arm, and some of the 21st century’s most celebrated electronica albums under the other. He manages to juggle festival headline slots across the world with the live iteration of Caribou, while slipping out timeless dancefloor burners and one of the last ever FabricLive CDs as Daphni. Oh, and he’s a super friendly guy too.
