The title track and also the name of the CD; The Badger and The Cricket refer to a fictional folk tale about an animal bacchanal.
In a warm August evening the bacchanal, which at times is very rollicking ends up with badger eating the cricket.

Instrumental (mostly) improvised usually electro-acoustic music - Aperion utilizes music making through a PC laptop, and live improvisations from instruments like trumpet, flugelhorn, tenor & soprano saxophones and clarinet.  The overall and ultimate goal/sound of the Aperion Project is experimentation and improvisation across all genres.  The word itself 'Aperion' is ancient Greek, and was found in the writings of the earliest written philosophy.  Difficult to translate, it means 'boundless' and 'without limit.'
