A long-time staple of the Neapolitan techno scene, Markantonio has excelled as a first-class DJ, producer and record label owner over the years.  His arrival on Eats Everything & Andres Campo’s EI8HT imprint crystallizes a musical output that shows no sign of abating.

The ‘Neapel’ EP comprises four shadowy heaters from Markantonio, from the rattling hip-house licked techno of ‘Professor’, the wall shattering ferocity of ‘Otto’ and the sprightly title track, the Naples resident delivers the goods across all tracks here. 

Via releases on his own Analytic Trail and MKT Records, as well as appearances on Joseph Capriati's REDIMENSION, Paco Osuna’s Mindshake label and Kaiserdisco’s KD RAW, amongst others, Markantonio is at the top of his game right now, and his entry into EI8HT’s catalogue further cements his reputation.

Hard Techno 1.0⚡️

Markantonio's record label, AnalyticTrail continues its black series with an analogue techno release by B. Riley.

B. Riley is an American artist known for his dark and driving releases on labels ranging from Chris Liebing's CLR and Jewel Kid's Alleanza to his own imprint, CMND CTRL.

Based in Florida, B. Riley's style blends bleeping synth tones and raw percussion sounds to create hypnotic grooves with industrial undertones. He is a well-known DJ within Florida's underground club scene and his productions translate his extensive knowledge of how to captivate a dance floor.

"By A Thread" opens the release with eerie tension and fast-flowing percussion that unfolds with building suspense. "Not In Zone" lifts the intensity with its menacing synth line and thrashing hi-hats that layer with modulating chord stabs. "Speed Skater" has gritty sound design and broken beat percussion rhythms layered with flickers of acid. "The Spiral" closes out the release with dystopian atmospherics layered over tense pads and hard-hitting percussion.

Lunar Landing:

In the quiet expanse of space, where stars whispered ancient secrets, floated the spaceship Stardust Voyager. Its hull bore scars from countless cosmic journeys, and its crew—Captain Sally and Navigator Bob—were bound by more than mere duty.

Their mission: to land on the moon, to touch the lunar soil, and to unravel the mysteries hidden within its craters. But this was no ordinary voyage. The moon held memories—of forgotten civilizations, of celestial lovers, and of dreams woven into moonbeams.

As Stardust Voyager descended, its engines humming a lunar lullaby, Sally gazed at Earth—a distant blue gem. She wondered about love lost, about a promise made under a full moon centuries ago. Her heart carried echoes of a cosmic romance—a love that transcended lifetimes.

Bob, ever the pragmatist, focused on the mission. His fingers danced across the navigation console, aligning the ship with the moon’s surface. But even he couldn’t ignore the lunar magic—the way the craters resembled ancient runes, the way moon dust clung to their spacesuits like stardust kisses.

The landing was gentle, as if the moon welcomed them. Sally stepped onto the lunar soil, her boots sinking into moon dust. She closed her eyes, feeling the cosmic currents. Memories flooded her mind—a kiss stolen in a moonlit garden, a promise whispered against a starry backdrop.

Bob joined her, his analytical mind now touched by lunar whimsy. “Sally,” he said, “what if the moon remembers? What if it holds our stories?”

She smiled. “Perhaps it does, Bob. Perhaps it remembers every lover who pledged eternity under its glow.”

They explored, leaving footprints in moon dust. Sally found an ancient crater—a cosmic amphitheatre. She sat on its rim, staring at Earth. “Do you think they watch us?” she asked. “The celestial lovers who once danced here?”

Bob sat beside her, his gaze distant. “Maybe they left messages,” he said. “Encoded in moon rocks, waiting for someone to decipher.”

And so, they searched. They cracked open moon rocks, analysed their crystalline patterns. And there, etched into the lunar surface, were symbols—a cosmic code. Elena’s heart raced. “It’s a love song,” she whispered. “A melody meant for eternity.”

Bob’s eyes widened. “A code breaker,” he said. “Our mission wasn’t just scientific. It was cosmic matchmaking.”

Together, they played the moon’s melody—a tune that echoed through time. The moon hummed in response, its craters glowing with lunar fireflies. And in that moonlit reverie, Sally and Bob felt the pull of forgotten constellations.

As they returned to Stardust Voyager, they carried the lunar code—a love song encoded in their hearts. Earth watched from afar, its oceans reflecting moonlight. And somewhere in the cosmic expanse, celestial lovers smiled, knowing that their story had found new voices.

And so, the spaceship soared back to Earth, its cargo more precious than moon rocks. Sally and Bob held hands, their souls entwined like lunar orbits. They whispered promises to the stars, vowing to decode love’s mysteries—one moonbeam at a time.
