Lee James is 20! Just … and he’s already one of the most exciting young dance music producers coming out of Ireland.
 
Hailing from Limerick, Lee has been honing his production skills for years already. Starting when he was just 13 on a hacked copy of Ableton. Just another kid in the middle of nowhere, progressing to Logic, grabbing royalty free vocals where-ever the internet might offer them, and trying to have a hit! Learning, listening, practising, perfecting!
 
Forward wind to 2021, and it’s the middle of a pandemic and it’s becoming clear that Lee James is not just another kid! As soon as he started uploading the results of those late-night bedroom sessions, it became immediately obvious that he was something special. Lee personally managed the signing of his first official release with Open House Records UK. Shortly after this he was picked up by legendary Irish DJ and Producer John Gibbons and signed to his influential BLINDsided Label (Home at the time to Irish DJ’s and Producers including Marty Guilfoyle, Robbie G (of Belters Only) Kyle Meehan, and Welshy to name a few!) Lee released his debut single on BLINDsided shortly after, and immediately gained many more thousands of followers and streams across all platforms!
 
But it was Lee’s subsequent BLINDsided release of “To The Ones”, a track built from a vocal pack he found on Splice, that really started to get Lee noticed at a national and international level. Gaining over a million streams on soundcloud alone, ‘To The Ones’ is on its way to being a club and specialist radio hit! Attracting local and national press coverage in Ireland, and even catching the attention of LadBible who have been fascinated by the level of the music production, and the buzz surrounding this ridiculously young and talented Limerick Producer.
 
Radio plays continue to increase in Lee’s native Ireland with support from Cool FM, RTE 2FM and SPIN to name a few! Lee was also nominated for, and ultimately won ‘Producer of The Year’ in a public vote in Ireland following a huge campaign by iLoveLimerick.ie  
 
Lee James is only 17. But already he is showing the skills, the determination, and the smarts to make an impact. So, look out establishment because he’s coming and he’s only just getting started!!
