Synphaera is an independent record label for electronic and ambient music. 

Featuring founder members of local scene stalwarts Element and Throat, Larne/Portadown noise-punk trio Duellists are a band with pedigree. Since their formation in 2015, the three-piece have honed their sinuous and abrasive sound in the live arena, sharing a stage with the likes of Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, In Case of Fire and touring with noise-rock legends Clutch. After spending much of 2017 in the studio, they are now ready to unleash their scathing debut record. Showcasing career-best performances from Pete (guitar/vocals), Mike (drums) and Rus (bass), the self-titled full-length proves the aching melodies and dynamics of their previous acts are still present and correct but are now shot through with the pin-sharp rhythmic twists of The Jesus Lizard and Fugazi and framed with bursts of focussed aggression only rarely hinted at in past output. Recorded in Smalltown America’s studio by Caolán Austin and mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge) at Godcity Studios, Salem Massachusetts, Duellists captures the trio’s live chemistry, impressive instrumental interplay and new-found intensity perfectly.
