I tried to capture the feeling of meeting people while you travel, knowing you might never see them again. 

Strangers

I was inspired by a mash-up of Coldplay and T.I. called "What You Know Scientist?" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tb8Dpp6wzc)

The laid back bongos, the orchestral texture, and the pianos just created a really chill atmosphere (in typical Coldplay fashion). Layer on top of that T.I.'s slurring attitude dripping off of his verses and the contrast was enough to rope me into attempting this.

Unfortunately, I kinda went overboard with the orchestral bit! Since I got the demo of EWQL's Symphonic Orchestra, I guess I've been over-indulging my inner John Williams. So instead of trying to haphazardly lay down a rap track on top of the orchestral part, I just played up the strings and left the whole thing as an instrumental. I'm still very proud of the end product, and who knows -- I might still pick this up in the future and throw down some verses.

This is my next Mono Electric Orchestra single on Manual Music, due for release June 4th, 2012. This is ambient mix. It is a beautiful piece of electronic music, with 2 wonderful musical hooks that carry you away.

Canterlot at Night

A celestial mane and a dark aura flow in the gentle breeze of the ancient ruins, each of heads with eyes whose lethal stare could pierce through diamond.
There is a deep silence in which memories of a harmonious time flash before the two beings...
One now stands shining as a radiant star, the adversary of the darkest of nightmares, the most wicked of creatures.
They are as Day and Night.
