Disolvo Animus could be explained as “Dissolved Soul”. Throughout the centuries, man has always laid his life upon the shoulders of the Gods. This is what “dissolved” actually stands for: man’s mental enslavement through religion and religiously regulated ethics. We tend to believe that despite his problematic and repeating past, modern man has a great weapon at hand; This weapon is his potential Spiritual Liberation though a process called “doubting”. Through our music we invoke the notion of Atheism and manifest the Universal infinite of never ending possibilities. We deny the doctrines of idealism and replace the supernatural definition of reality with a nihilistic dialectic. We inverse all transcendent symbols and minimize the significance of a post death contemplation. The universal interpretation of the beginning and the end will always remain an uncompleted task; man will never manage to understand the functions of life chiefly due to his evolutionary inferiority.

We embrace those immersed in scientific zeal and every individual willing to search in a “cause-effect” manner, defying all sophomoric tales of self- empowerment. The acceptance of our inferiority in relevance to the universal energy, which can be transformed but cannot be created or destroyed, renders our quest as an, aforehand, unsolved mystery. In every case, we do not espouse the personification of this cosmic energy, neither do we accept or embrace any kind of religion. Ethics, as well as social coexistence, should be determined by concepts different than those of an eschatological rendition. The source of the theory of virtue and ethics does not relate to exogenous factors of human life, neither to god, save good will. Conclusively, we do not attribute any theistic prolongation within the explication of life. We stand for what is

Disolvo Animus exists since 2006. We formed this band in order to express our thoughts on the aforementioned issues and to compose music in the veins of what we think of as the most powerful and shocking sound on Earth. This type of expression derives from the combination of Death and Black Metal. We are a Blackened Death Metal Band combining Ethnic, Classical and Traditional elements of music. We have already released one demo in 2006, a promo release entitled “Death’s Ruthless Eyes” in 2008 and an EP entitled “Aleatoric Morte” in 2009 via Orchestral Promenade Productions. Finally, in 2012 our debut full length album was released via Darknagar Records and after long discussions its name came out to be “APHESIS”, meaning “Absolution from Sin” in Ancient Greek. Once “APHESIS” was released in October of 2012, a Greek Tour supporting the Greek Legions Rotting Christ followed and some separate shows in several Greek Towns with bands such as the Swedish Extremists, Necrophobic, took place as well. We are, currently, preparing new songs for our second album and we have booked more shows for the upcoming winter of 2013-2014.

Apocryphal was formed on 23 August, 2012 with the goal in mind of creating true to life old school death metal and death/doom.  The bands sole mission is to create high art in the form of aural devastation aka underground metal. Death metal is an art form and thus it is not entertainment.  Nothing is real but death, and with this outlook, the death metal genre becomes more relevant.
