An artist synonymous with Drum and Bass, Ed Rush has become a byword for cutting edge, forward thinking
beats. Moving through the sounds of hip hop and electro in his early musical years, Ed Rush soon became
interested in the emerging London jungle scene.
Showing his innate ability to manipulate chopped breakbeats and piles of sub-low bass, it wasn't long before Ed
Rush and Nico dropped the huge 'Bludclot Artattack'. The first classic to Ed Rush’s name, this proved to be a
platform for another collaboration with DJ Trace. Simultaneously developing his own style whilst pushing the
boundaries of a genre, classics such as ‘The Mutant' and 'Guncheck' put Ed Rush’s attitude injected productions
firmly on the map.
One of the pioneers of new sound dubbed Techstep, Ed Rush soon teamed up within another leading light,
Optical; to form what would become one of the most progressive production teams in the scene. In 1998, Ed
Rush & Optical released an album universally recognized as changing the landscape of Drum and Bass forever
with the legendary, ‘Wormhole’ on Virus Recordings. Still regarded as one of the main catalysts for the Neuro and
Techstep sound, ‘Wormhole’ paved the way for household names such as Noisia, Bad Company and many more.
Since then Ed Rush has released a plethora of genre-defining tracks and albums, both solo and with his partner in
crime, Optical. Still busy at work on a new Ed Rush & Optical LP due in late 2013, Ed Rush is not merely content
with helping shape the scene and remaining one of its most consistent producers. Beginning his own venture, he
now looks to the future with the birth of Piranha Pool. An outlet for showcasing new talent and veterans alike,
Piranha Pool represents what will be the future of Drum and Bass.

Dirtwire is a traveler’s collage of Earth-borne instruments and electronic sounds foraged from Electric Forest to the mountains of Tuva. From their home on the west coast of the United States to far-flung destinations all over the world, these troubadours are welcomed for speaking the most unifying language there is: music.

Every live set is a magician’s surprise show, an invitation to experience instruments that are usually heard only as samples in electronic music. It is a celebration of the art of the instrument, not just the sound you can record from it. Future revival, swamptronica, spaghetti-step, electro-twang — whatever you call Dirtwire’s music, what matters is that you can dance to it, as sure as a lizard dances in the desert.

Will Miles is a classically trained producer/DJ from the U.S. who currently resides in Perth. The diversity in his production style is due to the vast musical influences he's been exposed to over the years. Miles acquired his love of Drum n' Bass from his friend Kjell Anderson(who is half of their production duo Style Control) back in 1994. This quickly led Miles into DJing the following year, and into Drum n' Bass produciton in 1998. He would then sign 10 tracks with Thermal Recordings in 2001. He also joined the production team NUCO and held a residency for three years called Information Technology. In that same period of time he was resident at Europa, in downtown Richmond. In 2004 he released a single on his own imprint Miles A. Head. He then remixed a track called Second Protector by Kjell, that debuted on DJ Bailey's show on the BBC Radio 1XTRA in the summer of 2005. DJ Fabio debuted his music on Radio 1 the following year, and released a single on his imprint Creative Source. He has releases on many labels including, Pushin' Wax, Sonorous, Mix n' Blend, Influenza, Innerground, Nemesis, Deep Soul Music, Horizons, Influenza LTD., Point Audio, Westbay Music, MAC II, Elm Imprint, and Haunted Audio under the alias Dubyah. Miles keeps a steady DJing schedule. Having played all over the U.S. and across the Atlantic, he has honed his craft and can move any crowd.
