From the opening intro of Apollo Belvedere’s latest track you instinctively expect a hip hop banger with all the trappings associated with it. 808s, snare patterns and a bassline that almost demand it can only be hip hop! 

Instead, Crazy For You immediately hits your ears with a refreshing blend of high energy drum & bass vibes combined with melancholy vocal samples. This culminates in energy levels that rarely dip until the musical journey nears its finale where the breakdown itself craves for the music to be heard over and over.

You just want to jump into your car for an evening summer cruise pumping that hard hitting drum & bass style rhythm relentlessly. All in all it is the use of subtle tones interwoven with something stronger that is the real showstopper here. Belt up and enjoy the ride.

A story of lost love told with crying synths speaks volumes of emotion. 

All this combined with a prominent but never intrusive bass line leaves the listener immersed in buttery smoothness.

This is a track I started making last year but I never got round to finishing it or really delving into making the track polished. Let me know your thoughts and if I should finish it off. Or just let me know if it's a nice idea. I used a Vocal sample of Niki Minaj and a Rick Ross Vocal track too, the beat its self I did from scratch. Thanks.

Creativity has always been the driving force in the life of Apollo Belvedere and, having initially been drawn towards a career in art and design, Leith-born Apollo Belvedere has been focussing on his principal passion of music production.

Having been influenced by a number of famous Hip-Hop and R&B producers such as The Neptunes, Ryan Leslie, Kanye West and Timbaland throughout his teenage years, Apollo Belvedere was inspired to learn the basics of music production and to combine his own song writing capabilities with the knowledge he had gained in that area. 

During 2020 when the pandemic affected us all, Apollo Belvedere jumped right back in to making music of which resulted in a new song called ‘Crazy for You’ which was inspired by the thought of being able to cruise the streets of Edinburgh, freely. Which had been something that was taken for granted by us all. 

When making this particular song it allowed me to imagine having the freedom to drive around on a summers evening enjoying music and life itself.
