PREMIERE: Black Light Smoke - Maniac [Death Decay Magic]

For this striking 7th EP, we are lucky to have Mr. Ho back for another massive delivery. This time complete with fully versatile house music.

A1 “Burrow” storms out the gate with an acid attack. The spooky bassline, punchy drums, and acidic atmosphere makes this the complete peak time bomb. Then the EP smoothly roles into the A2, “TCB”. A loopy, repetitive drum pattern that is guaranteed to feature for many on repeat mode. For B1’s “Shoplift” Mr. Ho brings out the melody. This is a feel-good tune featuring an old school jungle-like drum pattern that makes this a great summer outdoor weapon. Finally, Mr. Ho's Klasse Wreck partner in crime Luca Locazono provides a silkier twist on “Shoplift” for a vinyl only remix.    

This EP provides a whole spectrum of tools for house heads. Groovy, melodic, banging, or loopy, Mr. Ho has got them all covered.

London producer Keplrr https://soundcloud.com/keplrr debuts on Midgar with 'Plumes'. Known for his productions on trendsetting outlets like Control Freak Recordings and Pressure Dome where he showed his excellent take on forward thinking broken techno music, right here for Midgar he uses a more straight forward approach with two versions of title track 'Plumes'. The original is a subtle, percussive and playful techno groover, where the 'Meditation Mix' flips this impeccable groove into an airy atmospheric after-house mood. Second track 'Pulse' continues on this breezy atmosphere, it's a floaty eyes-closed deep trip, with carefully arranged drums creating the perfect breakdown. Keplrr's creative process delves into the profound, seeking to encapsulate the sensation of falling or morphing, blurring the lines between reality and reverie. His aim is to transport listeners to a state somewhere between a dream and a trip, where the boundaries of perception dissolve, and the subconscious takes flight. This EP embodies that quest, each track a sonic voyage into the depths of consciousness.

Daribone, aka Daniel Boubet, is a Berlin-based Chilean producer, live act, and co-owner of Mechatronica—a German label and music collective. Passionate about nostalgic synthesizer sounds, his genre-spanning releases fuse electro and synthpop with a raw, shamanic mix of EBM and new beat. Known for dynamic live shows featuring hardware synths and drum machines, his track "4th Dimensional Creature" showcases his mastery of New Beat sound.

Once upon a time, or maybe in another universe, Urei Lazar was born. Or so the story goes. His music is genre-free, weird in the best way, and drenched in the mystery of outer space, UFOs, and the kind of alternate dimensions you’d find in a wild dream. Now he’s landing on Earth, or rather, on Apparel Tronic’s “White” catalogue, with his debut record on the label: Sightings. It’s a 5-track journey that’s part storytelling, part exploration of what "other" can sound like. Breakbeat grooves, glitchy textures, Leftfield vibes, and IDM brilliance all blend together as Urei Lazar shows us a glimpse of life from his imagined worlds. SCHiLLiNG, one of the brains behind Apparel Tronic, jumps on remix duty, twisting one of the tracks into his own shape-shifting piece. SCHiLLiNG also teamed up with Kisk (the other co-captain of the label) to cook up the album art—a perfect visual match for music that’s so out-there.
