Quickly following up the last, instant sell-out smash, Shir Khan's infamous "Black Jukebox" series hit us with the 12th edition. Introducing anonymous project Aussteiger who gets things bouncing with the Summer house monster, "Bangbao". Lush filter sweeps, twinkling keys and powerful bass are order of the day here as the producer works his magic on one of the sunniest grooves we've heard this year. "Return" keeps that outdoor terrace flavour but plunges us deep into the twilight, tribal drums and deep electronics locking us into its hypnotic recess. Martin Lewis contributes a seriously fun and summery version of "Now That We Found Love", utilizing glorious xylophones and horns throughout the melody and letting it roll out with aplomb. Finally, we get the cheeky "Do It" edit which combines hypnotic congas with funky guitar licks and a sun-burnt, Latin energy to create a sizzling brew of hot dancefloor energy. Great stuff! Famed for his reworks and edits, Jacques Renault brings a release off Swedish label Local Talk, run by close friends Mad Mats and Tooli.

Based in Brooklyn, Jacques is a globetrotting DJ who also runs the roving Let’s Play House party night and label. Along with regular releases on his own imprint, Jacques boasts music on other scene leading labels such as Endless Flight, DFA Records, Rekids, Permanent Vacation and Defected. His induction into Local Talk's family of artists may nearly break his already exhaustible release CV.

Local Talk is a Swedish label globally known as a trusted source of timeless House music with influences in jazz, funk and soul. Whether its jacking, raw or deep, each release is compiled with care and attention to detail. What binds them together is an honesty that doesn’t follow fashion, hype or gimmicks.

Across the street from where Trouw used to be, lies a nice little hotel. It was in the basement of this hotel, where a curious meeting happened. Something so coincidental and so unassumingly trivial, that even the slightest event of randomness could have prevented this from ever happening, yet it did happen and here we are. 
This curious meeting was the result of an open studio door of Nachtbraker, and the hint of disco coming out the door, where Dr. San Proper just happened to pass by in search of whatever it is he searches for at 10 am on a Tuesday. The good doctor decided to walk in, greeted Nachtbraker in his ordinary weird way and casually grabbed a microphone. Nachtbraker pressed record, Dr. Proper got his inner Mick Jagger on, and behold: Misses, madame, mademoiselle was born: an up-tempo disco groove with Nachtbraker’s touch of loose arrangement, and San Proper’s amazing vocals. We asked our good friends and great producer duo Session Victim to re-interpret M.m.m. and they gave it a great dreamy-but-groovy twist, adding pads and shufﬂing hi-hats. 
We had already heard Nachtbraker working on a deep house – meets – afro track a while back and he made 2 versions of this track to complement the EP. Hamdi is probably one of the most euphoric tracks in his discography to date, and it’s one you’re likely to hear a lot in the coming time. With the use of chopped vocals (we’ll let you ﬁgure out the source material) and a teasing build up, the track breaks down into a lovely chant, adding energy with every bar without ever coming close to being tacky or overproduced. The alternate version is an excursion into 808 booty territory, using different chops, alienating loops and yes, even a siren.

Jazzy Tourism is the first work that establish Apparel Music in the electronic music market. Apparel seeks to combine differents hemispheres, trying to impress on vinyl every mood and emotion. Every song is built for narrow audience, mental, impatient, just like jazz, get something of magical on the dance floor. The original mixes offers a simple way to structure and pushing the batteries, deep bass, funny reasons to open the way for jazzy. Kisk is a good media between sound and audience; working properly jazz samples , as if this was made for his own style. Lopazz & Zarook’s remixes are placed on a road whose direction is the catharsis. One more reason to discover huge basses that fill up the stomach slowly, till to corrode any space, We can define it ‘psyco deep’. SCSI-9 surprise us with special effects, supporting theyr grooves, with the exception of a saxophonist (Prof. Morriarti) and an unforgettable motive wich of course weíll sing under the shower. The vinyl close with Yapacc’s version wich bring us into the funky minimal’s world, towards dark moments weíll arrive in the room of lights. Clubby!
