The Italian DJ and vinyl collector delivers a masterly assembled mix full of House gems to give us a taste of his very personal brand of sound. Classi of ‘91, he approaches music by listening to some old school Acid House tapes recorded at the end of the 80’s. He’s a vinyl junkie and his sets embrace a broad spectrum of Electronic Music ranging from House to its derivates.

We're happy to host Interstate 55 duo as the next guest of our famous Apparel Radio Show. The Interstate 55 project was born of a friendship between two young students, Chris and Alex, at a warehouse party in South Chicago in 1995. Press correspondents for Coda and Trax Magazine between Chicago and Paris, the two guys helped promote the Underground sound in Europe, interviewing some of the greatest legends: Paul Johnson, Cajmere, Derrick Carter, Dance Mania Crew and more. 25 years after the most beautiful private parties, Alex returns to the mix to promote the underground once again, through various Radio Shows on SoundCloud, with current tones and the launch of a label planned for next year. Welcome to Interstate 55 and their mix, on the 255th episode of the Apperel Music's Apparel Radio Show.

The Timbres train keeps on rollin and for this stop, we check in with a guest many of you know and respect. Tooli, label boss for Omena Records, and Local Talk Records has graced us with an introspective journey through music. A collection of music to "wind down and also get some positive energy"

When I reached out to Tooli, I was beyond excited to hear that he was interested. His labels have been home to some of my favorite music, and artists as well. 

This mix is a bit different than whats typical for this series, but that's why it has quickly become one that I will cherish deeply. There's no intentional promotion, or a mix for the club, but instead a journey through beautiful sounds for the sake of relaxation. 

Take some time this weekend to toss this one on while winding down after a busy day, and enjoy the latest addition to the Selected Timbres series from Tooli! See you in the comments!

DJ, promoter, and insatiable music explorer, Alan.D is a true local activist who has likely made you dance for over a decade on the most beautiful stages in Nantes (Paco Tyson,Goûtez Électronique...). 
Since 2013, he has also been the programmer at Rond Point Café in Nantes; a place where he champions musical eclecticism, just as evident in his often diverse mixes.
From Rotterdam to Paris and even Geneva, he has shared the stage with numerous renowned artists from the international music scene. 
His monthly residency "Rythm" has gradually become a hallmark of the House music scene in the city of Nantes.
Behind the decks, he offers a journey into the very essence of House Music, influenced by jazz, disco, funk, and the club culture of the early 90s.

It’s “a mix between deep, jazzy and more classic sounds, with Afro influences,” tells us.
