MUSICAL MOON MUSING EXPERIMENT - Sept. 17th / 2020 to Aug. 22nd / 2021

This is the 21st installment in a 12 Synodic month journey to capture the correlation between sound, emotion and cosmic energy. Each mix is created within the 13 hours leading up to the crest of the moon cycle which is the best time to harness the power of the new / full moon. Through meditation and connecting to the current astrological energy ( signs, planets & elements ) I then create a dj mix from that inspiration. This mix is a product of that process. This is a collaborative project with Amaris ( Tanya Lee ) from Body Art Motion who has consulted on the overall project as well as provided the incredible opening & closing meditations.

This was the sunrise set I played on Abraxas this year at Burning Man for their Thursday morning White Party! It was a honor to play at this special gathering out in deep playa as the sun rose up through the dust and illuminated the magical landscape and beautiful people! I took this opportunity to experiment with some pretty tunes in the beginning to gently bring the morning in, and then threw down some tasty beats to keep the dance floor going after the long night! To celebrate the holidays and the beginning of our Amplify Her Purple Carpet tour I've crafted a story woven together with songs written/produced/co-produced/remixed by female identified/bodied peoples. Featuring songs from the main characters of the film as well as many other talented ladies. I hope you guys like it, I put a lot of heart soul and mother fucking pussy into this piece. 

What is Amplify Her? Oh just a little movement we started 5 years ago - A full length Documentary film, a Graphic Novel, an animation and a god damn revolution. Amplify Her is a film, graphic novel and animated motion comic series that explores the rise of female artists in the electronic music scene.

Imagined and brought to life by more than 21 female creators The Film follows AppleCat, Clozee, Blondtron, Lux Moderna, WALA, A hundred drums, and Kytami as they find their unique voices within a male-dominated electronic music realm.

On the surface, it’s a story about women in the electronic music industry, but the film’s deeper message is the resurgence of “the feminine” in Western culture.
