This playlist series stays true to its German moniker because it’s absolute nonsense. There’s no definitive theme or genre or trend I’m looking to share. It’s more or less a serendipitous amalgamation of tracks I deem brilliant, clustered together by the sheer circumstance of their closeness in proximity to the time of me listening to them. But this winter’s eve has ushered in wave of clarity, an embrace of impulse decision making, a desire to look blindly forward. The featured photo is a composite of an image I took on my first night out in Paris. Nina, the friend I made that night, would climb on the tops of parked cars to reach up tall and touch the snow. This is stupid music for realizing your potential.

It's been an incredible year for Open Mike Eagle, first he signed a multi-album deal with Mello Music Group, then he released the critically acclaimed album "Dark Comedy," and after months of touring North America, he is off for his first ever European Tour. I was asked by Tate Collective London to create a track in response to the Turner Prize 2014 nominated artist Tris Vonna-Michell at Tate Britain.

Portugese producer Raez proved his ability to flip soul samples and turn them into laid back Hip-Hop grooves on his submissions for the Roy Ayers Project compilation.

In 2013 the Oporto-based beatsmith released his full-length "Connecting Miles" album on Cosmonostro. Fast-forward to 2015, he is getting ready to release his forthcoming "Remixing Miles" on Cosmonostro.

One of his most current collaborations he asks, Darker Than Wax affiliate Neguim Beats from Brazil to rework André DePriest's original version of "In This Life" (which Raez produced).
