Having just completed my third solo album, I thought I would do another acoustic guitar instrumental and it now being the month of May.................

The Month Of May

Stultifera Navis (Das Narrenschiff = Ship Of Fools) refers to a book of the same title by Sebastian Brant (1457-1521), first published in 1494. The work was translated into latin in 1497.

The picture shows a detail of a caricature on woodcut by Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) produced for the work.

And the signaller disappeared

Cursed Moon

Quietude in the midst of chaos, confusion, uncertainty, and restlessness; Seagull captures an Eden-like vision of tranquility and reflection.  It also came with a surprise he kept securely under his hat; I would be joined in the collaboration with him by two of my favorite SC artists, Ed Cunningham and Dan-t, masters of their genre. I didn't know until he unveiled the finished product.  My approach turned out to be "less is more" so I show up to the party fashionably late at just past the 2:00 mark, but what a lovely party...and vision.  I hope you think so too. Jan Schonander invited me to participate in his Four Seasons for Piano project with "summer" as my assigned season.  Since I am no Vivaldi I reached back to the Tin-Pan Alley "Good Old-Summertime" (1902) for inspiration.  Not really an arrangement per se, but rather a quote.
