There’s no denying the powerhouse talent of Tasha Cobbs. Just ask the fans who propelled Grace—the singer/songwriter’s major label debut—to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart.
 
One Grammy, three Dove and three Stellar Gospel Awards later, the live album still remains near the top of the Gospel Albums chart. In turn, the project spun off back-to-back No. 1 singles on the Hot Gospel Songs chart: “Break Every Chain” and “For Your Glory,” the latter of which counts more than 54 weeks on the chart. Through stirring vocals, a singular passion for ministry and an unerring musical ear, Cobbs has become one of gospel music’s undeniable breakout stars.
 
Now the singer/songwriter is following up her amazing breakthrough with “Jesus Saves,” the lead single from her highly anticipated Motown Gospel album One Place Live. The Cobbs-penned song is part of a first-week sales trifecta that also included the album tracks “Fill Me Up” and “Overflow,” respectively No. 2 and No. 3 on Billboard’s Gospel Digital Songs chart. 
 
The three new songs are also a strong portent of what’s in store from the next chapter in Cobbs’ burgeoning career. Recorded at Redemption Church in Greenville, South Carolina before nearly 3,000 worshippers, One Place Live reunites the singer with label-mate and fellow award-winning gospel star Vashawn Mitchell, the production force behind Grace.
 
“We’ve known each other for years,” says Cobbs of the pair’s creative intuition. “Recording a major-scale project for the first time, I felt comfortable working with someone I knew. So, with Grace still in the top 10 at the time, I said to Vashawn, ‘Let’s do it again.’”
 
As with Grace, One Place Live pulsates with kinetic energy from start to finish—fully capturing the raw power and emotion of the live worship experience. Armed with true-to-life songs that always speak to the heart, Cobbs and her vibrant vocals can’t help but spark a soul-raising chain reaction.

“They are what we call songs of the Lord,” explains Cobbs. “I can be leading worship or getting dressed for worship and a song will simply fall on me. Some songs are just moment songs. Or maybe just four or five words will come. Then I’ll go home and finish it.”

Anthony "SoL Controller" Yates is a multi-talented and seasoned entertainment professional, renowned for his dynamic presence as a DJ, MC, and comedic host. As the President and CEO of Controller Enterprises LLC, SoL has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry, spanning radio, television, live events, and digital media.

SoL’s journey began at just 14 years old when he first ventured into the world of hip-hop dance, performing at festivals and talent shows across the tri-state area of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. By 16, SoL had already established himself as the official DJ for his military boarding school in upstate Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, he transitioned to radio, quickly rising to become one of the youngest radio personalities and DJs in one of the nation’s top five market regions at Power 99fm in Philadelphia.

With over 20 years of experience in broadcasting, SoL’s accolades include being a 2-time Stellar Award-winning gospel On-Air personality at 1300 WIMG in Trenton, NJ. In 2010, SoL successfully expanded his career into the wedding industry, solidifying his position as a premier wedding DJ. Within just a decade, he was named DJ of the Year by the American Wedding Group in both 2013 and 2014 and made history as the first DJ to perform at two weddings in a single episode of the popular TLC show 4Weddings.

To date, SoL has performed at over 2,500 weddings and has maintained a recurring role as one of the Official DJs for Fox News' "Good Day Philadelphia" and the Philadelphia Eagles Pep Rally from 2016 to 2023. He is also a 2023 graduate of the Philadelphia Comedy College, having earned his comedy certificate.

SoL's reputation extends far beyond weddings. He is a sought-after talent within the AEAOMNS (Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine), serving as On-Air Host and DJ for the Imperial Parade (2022–present) and DJ for major events including the 55th Imperial Commandress Hospitality (2024), the Bingo Fundraiser (2025), and the Desert of Georgia Hospitality at the Imperial Session (2025). Jagged Edge is an American R&B group; featuring lead singers, identical twins Brandon and Brian Casey “The Casey Boys”, born in Hartford, Connecticut on October 13, Kyle Norman of Decatur, Georgia born on February 26 and Richard Wingo of College Park, Georgia born on September 3. Wingo was a late addition to the group, added after Kandi Burruss of Xscape recommended he be added. Kandi was also the one who brought the group to the attention of Dupri.

Signed through Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Records to Columbia Records, the group has had a number of hit singles, many of which are produced by Dupri. Lead singers Brandon and Brian have written the bulk of the groups material. They have also written for Usher, Nivea and Toni Braxton. In addition to their projects, the group has collaborated with a number of artists. Jagged Edge began their mainstream recording career with the single “The Way That You Talk”. They followed this in 1998 with the album, A Jagged Era which managed to go gold featuring the singles “I Gotta Be” and “The Way That You Talk”. “I Gotta Be” which was written by the twins, reached #11 on the R&B charts and #23 on the Hot 100. Following up their debut album, Jagged Edge released J.E. Heartbreak in 2000. The album was the group’s breakthrough album with several popular singles. The album went double platinum and had the hit single “Let’s Get Married” which topped the R&B charts and reached #11 on the Hot 100. The album’s second single, “He Can’t Love You” (released January 18, 2000) had similar success, reaching #3 on the R&B charts and #15 on the Hot 100. It also featured the track “Promise” which, albeit a late single coming out in 2000, reached #1 on the R&B charts and #9 on the Hot 100.

The group’s third release, Jagged Little Thrill, was released in 2001 and went platinum. Its success was in large part, due to the up- tempo “Where The Party At,” which reached #1 on the R&B charts and #3 on the Hot 100, the group’s highest charting single. Jagged Edge’s fourth album, Hard, was released in 2003 and went gold. The album’s single “Walked Outta Heaven” performed well on the charts, reaching #6 on the Hot 100 and #2 on the R&B charts. Jagged Edge’s fifth album, Jagged Edge, was released on May 9, 2006 and it went gold. It featured the hit urban single “Good Luck Charm”. Also released on November 21, 2006 was The Hits collection featuring Jagged Edge’s biggest hits plus a few album tracks. The album shared the single “Stunnas” that’s also on the Jagged Edge album as a bonus track. Jagged Edge’s sixth album was “Baby Makin Project.” The only single released off Baby Makin’ Project was “Put a Little Umph in it” featuring Ashanti. It reached #49 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart. The group recorded so much material for the project that they saved eight of the tracks for another album, the album titled “The Remedy” was released June 21, 2011. The project had one collaboration with Rick Ross. The first warm- up single from “The Remedy” is “Tip of My Tongue” featuring Slip ‘N Slide Records’ recording artists Trina and Gucci Mane. A second warm-up single, “Lay You Down”, was released before the “official” single titled “Baby”. Now Jagged Edge is back with So So Def for 2014. The hit machine is once again in full effect with songs written and produced by Brian & Brandon Casey (JE), Bryan Michael Cox and Jermaine Dupri.
