Blossoming from the depths of the French industrial town Saint Etienne, Jacques Satre delivers the second release of Positive Education’s label, Worst Records. Part of this 3 tracks record, ’Anatole Trance’ is a massive 88 bpm trance techno jam which dabbles in experimentalism complete with aural hallucinations saturated with expansive synths shimmering out in all directions. A journey under a grey sky that turns more and more luminous as the track evolves. It is a steamy effort that oozes intoxicating downtempo and rounds out a truly inventive EP.  Run, dig this record, out on march 11th. 
Future Sound Of Saint-Étienne is on its way to worldwide sound systems, yeah.

PREMIERE | Jacques Satre - Anatole Trance [WORST] 2019

Tentacular Kinship is the first release of suspension, gathering the multiple efforts of 18 artists in total, spread between Lisbon, Berlin, and London, united by an invisible yet powerful force of collaborative kinship - the very glue of our sound and practice.
After two years of existence of mina, suspension comes as an anarchic-womb/platform that delivers a compilation of rich and prismatic musicality raging from dreamscape ambient, promiscuous variations of techno, bass breakbeats, funk and dirt, among other variations of experimental electronic music.

It will have its official release on the 23rd of March at the suspension residency at Galeria Zé dos Bois, in Lisbon, comprising live acts, DJ sets, workshops, film screenings, panels, and performances.

The compilation is free. Feel free to acquire, to use, to play, re-edit, mashup, loop, recycle and spread its tentacles. Nonetheless, keep in mind the importance to share your creative sources and artistic references. 
All the donations will revert to the production of our next release.

Instigate and cherish new alternatives, reimagine histories, build future sounds and form alliances. 
Tentacular Kinship is the suspension of disbelief and cynicism of a world set in a blaze.

suspension is an offshoot of mina (@minassuspension), operating as an artist platform and label curated and organised by BLEID (@bleiddd) and marum (@marumwelt).

xin returns to Subtext to share their debut LP, MELTS INTO LOVE.

Mining fragments of neurofunk, hardcore and dubstep, xin searches for something else. They borrow from dance and rave lexicons to warp, mangle and strangle tropes into something anew. Embracing failures, blemishes, inexperience and misuse, xin imagines new affinities, anxieties and ecstasies in an age of noise, spectacle and inundation. Alien, shapeshifting reeses dance and twirl in “Myopia,” while AI choirs and pseudo-breaks are distilled into “Spent, Wasted and Saved” (featuring AYA, fka LOFT). The fiendish, ecstatic imagery that accompanies is created in conjunction with painter Gabrielle Bejani and machine learning engineers Ash D'Cruz, and Chris Tegho.

Like xin’s 2018 EP, MELTS INTO LOVE will be released solely via independent platforms Bandcamp, Boomkat and Resonate. The record also borrows from fellow Subtext signee Fis and his Saplings project and is released as a “biodigital” LP—meaning the music is released digitally, but with a living consequence woven in. All proceeds from sales will be donated to Eden Reforestation Projects, with each purchase of the LP funding the planting of at least 40 trees.

xin has recently performed live at Berlin’s Volksbühne, in support of Holly Herndon’s PROTO launch, and Kraftwerk, for MaerzMusik’s The Long Now, among others. They are soundtracking Zach Blas’ upcoming installation The Doors, and are a summer 2019 research resident at Trust, Berlin’s space for utopian conspiracy and the (re)design of infrastructure.

The latest TANK mix comes courtesy of Tokyo producer @wrack90, fresh off the release of his debut EP Despertar 醒 on Mexican label @naafi.

 In his dense, shimmering productions, Wrack offers a global take on the Latin American rhythms for which the label is known, combining effervescent synth melodies with propulsive dembow drum tracks. WRACK is also the organiser of the CHEMICAL MONSTERS party at Circus, Shibuya.
