This song brings to light the first source of tension behind the scenes at the Kharnival. This is the story of The Acrobats.

The Acrobats

For my grandad's 97th birthday, he took himself up by train from his home in North Yorkshire up to Aviemore, in the highlands of Scotland that he loved so much and spent some time there as he loved to do - he would also have no problem heading south to London for the sights of the big city without a chaperone. His mobility in his later years was a gift that was taken away when he had a fall which was to cause severe memory loss and confusion rendering him unable to take even the short walk from his care home room to the outdoors centre he once ran in his younger days in the Yorkshire Dales. This song was written as an attempt to imagine what he in his slightly younger days might have thought, seeing himself in the place which was to be his final home.
