[PREMIERE] C-linopolis - Solma | Virtual Forest Records [2023]

Ático Corp. empieza a interesarse por la música electrónica a principios de los 90, escuchando eurodance hasta mediados de la década donde descubre estilos como el electro, el techno, el house y sobretodo el breakbeat, sonido predominante en el sur en esa época. 

A partir del año 2000 empieza a comprar vinilos y aprende a producir. En 2005 edita su primer 12" en el sello de electro Hardware y posteriormente crea su propio netlabel, Shoxcorp. 

Después de abandonar la música por motivos laborales, en 2010 vuelve a producir y crea junto con R.I.P. Bestia el sello UFC (Un Futuro Creíble) en 2020, un sello en formato vinilo para dar cabida a las producciones de ambos con un sonido orientado a los breaks, el electro, el trance y la cyberdelia.

Following up on a pair of killer EPs from UK electro and techno legends Ben Pest and Kronos Device, No Static / Automatic label boss Ara-u steps up next with a heavy new solo EP - “No Information No Statistics”. Fast gaining recognition for his raw and heavy hitting machine funk forms, Venezuelan electro producer Ara-u serves up four new dancefloor growlers on this hefty four track offering.

Opener ‘No Information’ kicks the EP off with a sassy low slung groove taking us deep into the dystopian vision of electronic sound that underpins the release. ‘Sub Implosion’ follows with a shuffling broken beat fully locked down in a gripping paranoid energy.

On the second half of the EP Ara-u ramps the BPM up a level. ‘The Watchdog’ belts out a stripped back beat against whomping hoover bass. ‘Intoxication’ finishes off the EP on a kicking electro bass groover keeping that paranoid energy high with the warehouse floor at its core of being.
