This set was recorded live @ the Pulsar 6 Year Anniversary Celebration which took place July 23-24th, 2016 in the Mojave Desert of southern California.  This set was played Sunday morning 6-7AM after a morning Goa set from Spice Rack and before a wonderful uplifting and psychedelic Full-On set by Life Style!  In this set my goal was to combine a number of Full-On styles cohesively in order to craft a story line and narrative that matched the timeslot and the vibe of the gathering!  I hope you enjoy!

We have set our sails for O.Z.O.R.A. 2017 and we are on our way. For this edition we’re joined again by the Looney Moon flagshipped PHOBOS, dj and label manager with Dj Fog, to check out what’s been happening since our last interview with him. LOONEY MOON – After promoting Trance parties in Italy for many years, the illustrious crew of Looney Moon eventually decided to spread the vibe of their events to an international audience. And which better way could have been chosen than doing this via music? So Looney Moon Records was founded in 2008, drawing on a collective of promising and varied artists from the very first day.
Concerning the music, the two label heads DJ Fog and DJ Phobos manage to realize a refreshing independent underground style. Based on a very sophisticated approach towards production quality, Looney Moon stands for highly energetic, kicking bass sounds and catchy synthesizer riffs, escalating to twisted sound structures and uplifting breaks and finally joining all the musical forces again in an intelligent, harmonic and melodic groove. This sound philosophy is currently represented on the new compilation “Looney Mood” that lives up to its name pretty much and therefore includes some seriously mad dance floor bangers.

PHOBOS – Since always into electronic music, in 1997 dj Phobos started listening to psy-trance, going to parties and festivals all around Europe. As a dj he has played in many parties and festival around the world together with lots of artists of international fame in the world of trance. From the point of view of his musical choice, he doesn’t like sticking to just one style of psy-trance, but he prefers to adapt his set to the hour, the people and the situation he finds himself in, taking always special care of the mixing. When playing during the night hours, he usually offers a Psychedelic Trance oriented style, with very psychedelic sounds which try not to degenerate into maddening noise or too dark influences; in the morning hour he will more likely choose to play more full-on underground stuff, trying to remain within the borders of psychedelics but with softer sounds, more suited for the light. Anyway he would rather play at dawn, according to him the most suitable moment of the day to enjoy his best sets. His djset is full of unreleased stuff .

He founded Looney Moon records with a group of friends in 2008, and he’s still managing the label with dj Fog. Today Looney Moon Records is a very weel known music label with 5 killer compilations, 3 albums and lots of digital EP which bombed the dancefloors around the world.

OKAGE is a versus project by two producer, Cindervomit from the United States and Maleficium from Japan. Their very first album called ‘demons’ comes out @ irOri Music.

Above, standing upon archaic towers scattered across a desert of ash, winged demons stared into the souls of seven, curious wizards. Their endless grins and ancient eyes painted the horizon as the conjurers continued their chant, a legendary summoning of a powerful entity only known to mortals as “Okage”. The mystics swayed back and forth in unison, ripping apart the fragments of reality to invite an outer-dimensional being into their world. The earth shook as the dunes beneath their robes split open with a frightful glow, and time itself bowed down to the ominous presence laid before them. Like a violent thunderstorm, the lord laughed towards the red sky whilst stretching its arms into the dusty air, a gesture of thanks for ending its infinite slumber. The strange cult cheered and prayed before their god, preparing themselves for an incredible journey into the unknown… and you’re invited.
Okage is the psychedelic experimental project of USA’s very own CinderVOMIT and the beast from the far east, Maleficium. Together these artists create a labyrinth of atmosphere and sound design for the listener to try and find their way out of. In this episode of On The Way To Ozora 2017 we’ll be talking with DJ OHM (half-Genesia) from Mexico, followed by his mix to wet your appetites for his upcoming blast in the Ozorian valley.

Antonio Resendiz, A.K.A. Ohm, is one of the most respected DJs national level, defined by his sessions with an incredible crystal clear technique, diversifying it in cinematic atmospheres ,brilliant and wicked sounds and thunderous bass lines that are manifested in a perfect fusion being then a wild stampede in the sound systems.
He has travelled all around the country, and also performing in the most important festivals international wide like the festival Universo Paralelo in Brazil and the festival Gentenkaiki in Japan.

On 2013, he is the one to select Predators a compilation that in its moment, was focused to gather the freshest of the Psychedelic Trance of the world, putting himself in the first sales places, as well as being CD of the month in the famous website psyshop.com.

That same year, he joins forces with Disorder, to create the Progressive Trance Genesia, which was very well received and now is one of the most demanded projects.

Nowadays he is leading right by Shove the booking agency Old Skull and working in his solo project Slivium.

Created at the end of Summer 2016, Stereoxide seeks to design a space wherein the trancer can celebrate existence without judgment, and loose themselves in blissful joy.

The Swiss duo is busy working on several releases and their full feature-packed debut album.

STEREOXIDE | In Focus | 08/07/2017

I am a producer, mastering engineer, and DJ living in San Diego, CA, USA.  Originally I hail from the suburbs of Boston, MA.  Right now my main focus is writing psytrance but I am diverse with all sorts of other genres as I am an audio freak by nature.  

I started DJ'ing in 1995 in the Boston area then moved to San Diego a couple years later.  I was playing all sorts of music on vinyl back then, but when I found the Goa and Psy sounds, I changed styles and started learning the craft of writing this stuff.

I try to incorporate all of my surroundings and influences from friends and experiences into whatever project I am working on and I really enjoy collaborating with other artists when time permits. Especially when the group sounds nothing like each individual on their own.  Instead the project tends to melt together with various ideas as we bounce them off of each other.

My aliases for the other collaboration projects include Monks of Madness (with Bodhi), Arabali (with Mubali) and Deipsyde (with Limbertimbre).  I have worked on multiple songs with each of these freaks so we came up with names for them.  

When we held the PsyCircle events, we asked the visiting artists to get comfy in our studio and get creative.  There are a handful of tunes out there from these jam sessions if you look hard enough.

PsyCircle Studios can perform recording and mastering duties for dj mixes, live instruments or any computer based music; along with mixdown assistance or stem mixing for a slightly higher fee.
