On Friday 29 September 2019 eight creative minds came together to witness the birth of ‘Phada’! Nestled deep in the heart of Remuera, stories of childhood innocence, fun and myths were relived and exchanged to create a tapestry that embraced and celebrated not just the good, but the bad and the ugly that growing up undoubtably entails.

My upcoming project ‘Phada’ is the embodiment of the hopscotch, derived from the Chewa language to describe the familiar childhood game that is often played by children in the streets. ‘Phada’ - similar to hopscotch is eight sections that connect to form a journey from start to finish. ‘Phada’ is eight creative minds working to bring these stories to life, and ‘Phada’ is the eight singles in the next launch that makeup this project.

This 4-piece act consists of members from varying backgrounds including jazz, rock, funk, reggae and much more with the focus on music to get the crowd dancing. This diversity allows them to effortlessly slip into almost any genre meeting most musical tastes.
