زمانی نه‌ چندان دور، جمعی از دوستان همزبان در شهر بروکلین در نیویورک با هم موسیقی می‌نواختند و با نام “کوبه” و به سرپرستی کاوه حق‌طلب تعدادی ‌‌از آثار فولکلور ایرانی را تنظیم و اجرا می‌کردند. چرخ روزگار چرخید و دنیا کرونایی شد و اجرای موسیقی زنده از رونق افتاد. همین شد که کوبه هم از کوبیدن ایستاد و امروز هر‌کدام از آن دوستان سرشان در دنیاهای دیگری گرم است. “کوک” یکی از آثاری بود که این گروه ساخت و اجرا کرد و آن‌را به یاد روزهای با هم بودن در اواخر تابستان ۱۴۰۰ ضبط کردند.

Manouchehr Sakhaei (منوچهر سخایی) [2011 - 1935, b. Tehran, Iran] began his professional career in the late 1950s and was among the first set of pop stars in Tehran to combine Iranian melodies with Western instruments along the likes of Viguen and Aref. Although hugely prolific in Iran, he wasn't able to achieve the same level of success after his move to LA during the 1979 revolution.
